Thank you. This is my first ball python but also have a milksnake for 4 years now. BP is still a baby. She/he hides most of the time under the water bowel I have and learned pooping has to do with humidity. I know not to spray. I like the wet towel idea and going to buy a bigger water bowel like I did for my milksnake. I always tell people to learn your animal. It’s not enough to just “love” them. Respect them enough to learn them.

I’m going to start making videos too. I think there is not enough of them and learn from people like yourself about snakes.

My tub enclosure has been at 99% humidity! Paper towel substrate, but had the water bowl on the warm side, moved that to the cool side and added more holes to the tub! Checked the mouth for RI but I think we’re good! She’s grumpy and bit me but that’s understandable, that makes them irritated! Very informative video, go you dude! Keep goin 💕

I have a glass tank enclosure and use a 100W ceramic heat emitter as well as a side heating pad to bring the temperature to mid 80s. However this also brings the humidity down to mid 30s, sometimes as low as 29%. When I turn the heat off the humidity goes up to 60% but the temperature goes down to 40-50 degrees. I use cypress mulch as a substrate combined with spahagnum moss (75-25 mix) and I have two humidity hides. I tried spraying it down twice daily to bring the humidity up, but within an hour or two, the humidity is back down to 29-35%

If you have aspen as the subtrate and a humidty box with dampened sphagnuam moss. Also, have a wide water bowl. Will the snake have enough moisture

Benjamin I’ve got a glass enclosure and the temp is around 88 but humidity is 49% will my ball python be ok ? And I’ve also have the foil tape on top of the whole screen to keep heat in I stay in a cold state so I just want it to be perfect help me please I also use coco chips

HI. I have a rack system with 28 quart bins. I've made tons of holes all in it. Heat tape on 90. Barely 1 inch of forest floor cypres. Yet inside there's fog on the inside walls. The probe says like 90-100% humidity. Can you please help?

I wish I had a problem with low humidity, the humidity where I live is almost constantly 70%-90% I have a dehumidifier running 24/7 with fans and a air purifier and I still have a problem keeping my tubs below 70%

If you are mature enough to get a snake and do research, you are smart enough to already know what humidity is. Why can’t people just jump to the part where where they talk about specific humidity with the specific animal
