i hope next season 2022-2023 without UCL night, we can win Premier League. I hope Ronaldo can be a pure Target Man. and some players can make a move like Benzema so Ronaldo can score everywhere

As you said the bench was so good Tevez Nani Park Anderson Welbeck Macheda Gibson. Later on RVP Chicha Valencia were so good to replace those few. But definitely the space left empty after Ronaldo Scholes Giggs Vidic then also finally Rooney, was not possible to fill. I liked Mata signing. But missing out on Benzema Bale Hazard Kroos Sneijder Hummels when rebuild was needed. Then later denying Lewandowski DeLigt now Haland Alvarez Vlahovic... Currently I think by quality we have a solid defence Dalot Malacia Varane Martinez, maybe Skriniar and DeJong signing away from that 2008/9 quality. Mid is very solid even better than 2008/9 Eriksen Casemiro Bruno McTominay should be working very well, possibly adding Tielemans or Kroos on free. Forwards Rashford Sancho Antony Ronaldo no doubt they all have quality but doent seem to click just yet. Firepower needed

That's because ronaldo had decided to be an asshole so his role diminished in the squad and how fergie used him allowing our other players to actually get more time on the ball instead of playing pass it to ronaldo every match Tbh we never needed ronaldo to begin with he was more of a signing to keep away from chelsea or city both of which had been going full blank checkbook for a while and would have eventually picked him up if barca or real didn't

​@@nnd5768 I feel like you are wrong about a lot of what you said. Berbatov is world class unlike anything you've ever seen in a striker and Tevez kept disappointing at Man Utd. Yet he got often the nod over Berbatov because Ferguson was an ignorant jackass and didn't know how to use Berbatov correctly in the squad. He was much happier at Tottenham and Bayern Leverkusen. To put him in a group with useless Brown & O'Shea is just disrespectful because Berbatov had so much more football intelligence, charisma and natural aptitude than those two combined. O'Shea was a selfish player like Ferdinand, Giggs, Tevez, Nani and Ronaldo. I'm still mad at him for not passing the ball to Berbatov against Milan. People pegged Berbatov as "lazy" but they were just extremely jealous of his natural abilities as a soccer player. I'm ashamed of how he got treated at Man Utd. Tevez was a running donkey and a monkey who sold his soul to the Blue Devils Man City after being offered a new satisfying and an acceptable contract and more than a fair amount of chances (played over 53 games in 2008/2009 11 more than Berbatov). I'll never forget or forgive that. Berbatov had the technical abilities of Nistelrooy and Inzaghi put together in one while Tevez had the talent of a chicken and was lucky most of the time in his career. Rooney wasn't that talented he just used his aggression to his advantage all the time. Rough soccer was the problem at the time and Ferguson usually preferred and catered to brutish players from Britain. Ferguson gave Rooney & Tevez special treatment while he was ruthless towards Berbatov for no reason. When he kept him out of the squad against Barcelona in the finals despite being the top goal scorer was the final straw.

He was always better than ronaldo, I honestly sometimes wish he had pushed back on Fergie when he told him to switch to more of a supporting role for ronaldo. Imagine how much more he would have scored being in his PRIME years for us had he been more selfish, still young enough for conditioning not to matter

@@shahzadirani The 09 final utd team was much stronger than the 11 utd final team. I think sir Alex messed up the tactics in 09 final as well as team selection. In 2011 we had no chance, because that was a depleted utd team.

Ronaldo did most of the work. Rooney scored goals but wasn't talented and the same can be said about Tevez who ran marathons instead of playing football. Berbatov is amazing though.

So you're saying Ronaldo had a higher work rate than Rooney lol Ronaldo is and always will be the best at what he did. But only someone that hasn't played at a decent level would say that Rooney was one of the most complete players ever in every department

Rooney had great work rate but he used aggression most of the time to his advantage. Like he scored tons of goals and was a hero for Man Utd but that doesn't really mean that he's better than Ronaldo. I think Ronaldo has always had more things up sleeve and in his arsenal as a player much better footballer. But Rooney was a good finisher.
