Over 55,000 supporters packed into Old Trafford to see the Eric Cantona European XI take on the Red Devils with all proceeds going to the Munich Memorial Fund. I understand what you mean. I wanted him to get a Champions League medal for the club. The reason he retired early, there were people in the game who had it in for him. With every opportunity, they would deliberately go out of their way to make life difficult for him. Then the media were always on his back waiting for him to lose his temper, so they could print more rubbish about him. In the end, he lost interest in the game he once loved.

Yes. it is amazing. Sir Ferguson's Manchester is the best team ever. This is the first time I met Cantona. He is great player. I search for his highlights and he is very skillful and powerful.

It's strange when we lost cantona we went on to win the ucl, we lost ole, keane, saha & smith we won a ucl the following season

Bit of trivia for u. It was actually scheduled to be played in May originally but had to to postponed until the August. Me & my family went to it and the tickets still had the May date on them. Great night 😍

Eric Cantona had been retired for a year at this point yet it still looks as if United needed him around to complete their squad even further. Imagine if he stayed on for 2 more seasons, I think that would have been ideal for both parties instead of retiring at 31 years of age in 97.
