Fun fact: Alolan exeggutor is a dragon type because it's actually a sort of tropical hydra. Each head that falls off becomes part of an exeggcute, which will one day become another exeggutor, similar to the whole "remove one head and 2 more grow back" thing.

I second this. Bulbapedia uses both "trunk" and "wood" to describe Venusaur, and it has palm fronds, which is the reason why Tropious is on the list. Venusaur deserves to be called a tree pokemon.

Fruits aren't seeds. They are seed BEARING structures in flowering plants. An example would be an avocado, the seed is actually a very big part inside of this fruit which has to be removed before consuming the fruit.

@@jamesdinius7769 Bonsly and Soodowoodo are based on petrified wood, which are fossilized trees, Therefore, tree Pokemon. Pineco and it's evolution are based on bagworms(like burmy, wormadam and mothim), which are insects that mimic pinecones for camouflage, which is why they are bug types. Therefore, not tree pokemon.

Grotle is a tree Pokemon because in one episode of the Sinnoh anime, it’s all about a lonely snover that wanted to make friend, and next he gives some berries to ash and his friends, but later on in the episode, ash’s grotle was overwhelmed by birds, because there were growing acorns on his back just like there were berries growing on snover, and acorns, are seeds, of trees, so grotle is a tree pokemon

Exeggutor and alolan Exeggutor are indeed palm trees but technically palm trees are just large blades of grass, if you were to cut through a palm tree you would find no bark or wood, just pure fiber. They should not be included on this list.

I personally think the best way to fix the Elemental monkeys would be to give them a secondary typing that forms a second type triangle. Simisage would now be Grass/Fighting, Simisear would be Fire/Dark, and Simipour would be either Water/Psychic or Water/Fairy. What do you think? Should the Elemental Monkeys get secondary typings or not?

If you are looking for a second type triangle where the monkeys are now mutually weak to each other, Water/Psychic works in that list but Water/Fairy doesn't, and here's why. Fairy types are super effective against both fighting and dark, but Simisear would take neutral from fairy STAB because of the Fire type resistance. However, Simipour would resist *both* of Simisear's STABs. Simisage/Simipour and Simisage/Simisear are still mutually weak to each other in your scenario, but Simipour/Simisear only correctly completes the triangle of each Monkey's STAB combo being super effective against *both* of the others if Simipour is water/psychic.
