For young Sheldon Cooper, it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naive Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn't understand. Sheldon's mother, Mary, fiercely protects and nurtures her son. For 12 years on "The Big Bang Theory," audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. In "Young Sheldon," audiences get a chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. Jim Parsons, who plays the adult version of Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory," narrates.

Yes! I love this storyline! I know that the way it starts is a bit icky, but the overall "arc" is one of my favorites in the entire show. Georgie's development is one of the most satisfying to watch.

maybe "icky" by todays standards, but i can tell you in the 80s at least here in the UK so so many guys would lie about their age for a chance to hook up with an older girl

@@AlainnCorcaigh It’s “icky” because it’s a minor lying abt his age to illegally hook up with a much older woman, and she ends up pregnant with his baby and doesn’t know what to do. That’s not “natural”. Pregnancy is ofc, but that’s not why they’re saying it’s icky. What’s icky is the circumstances of the pregnancy, because Georgie lied.

Oh yes, this storyline is the biggest turning point in the show so far. Definitely introduces some challenges but I’m sure the cast can get through it. As dissimilar the situation is in a few ways, like father like son lol. I agree that I would love liked to have seen Sheldon and Paige together despite how much I love Amy, but at this point, Sheldon hasn’t exactly gotten the right company that would encourage and point him in the right direction so that it could work. That note Paige left breaks my heart every time.

I’m hoping at the end of young Sheldon (season 7 is confirmed to be the final season) we can see all the cast members of the Big Bang theory together again. Sheldon was doing his read aloud on his auto biography, Amy right beside him, all his friends listening.

as the show goes on, it becomes its own kind of storyline and not just one thats canonical to TBBT. though there are bits of stuff from TBBT in young sheldon, the show kinda became its own and can be watch without prior knowledge of TBBT

I like Amy & Sheldon, but I would have definitely loved to see Sheldon & Paige together. She should have been at least mentionen in TBBT.

24:39 sorry to break it to you, but Sheldon’s son Leonard is far more likely to be named after a different Leonard Namely Leonard Nimoy who played SPOCK evidence of this is when Sheldon mentioned his son Leonard in voice over and Amy in the background comments he should be lucky she let him name him that…if it were after Leonard from big bang, then there’d be no issue.

I agree that George seems that he should know Mandy better than to think this, but your comment to it, is blatantly sexist and you know it. You might want to just add a simple word like 'some'. But overall its great for Georgie , as Hulkzilla0 wrote already - Georgie's development is one of the most satisfying to watch. 👌🙏😊 Edit : Yes , Paige/Sheldon storyline is weird , but writers probably didn't anticipate filming YS during early TBBT production , so there are plotholes . But i have still one theory , including season 7 , we will see .

Can you react to "Fruits Basket (2019-2021)"? It's about a normal girl named Tohru Honda. She gets to know the Sohma family, who turn out to have a curse. So Tohru's goal becomes to trying to break the curse. It's a beautiful, heartbreaking story! One of the best anime series i've ever seen! 😭💔🔥

In my opinion Paige was Sheldon first love he just did not notice cause he is Sheldon. Paige was literally screaming for help but given Sheldon's social skills he sadly did not notice... I also like to think that in an alternative universe they end up together too. I love Amy and she is Sheldon's true love but Paige was his first he just did not realize it and never got the chance to try it, maybe if TBBT continue we might have seen Paige like we saw his vietnamese friend.
