Maneater is a single player, open world action RPG where you are the shark. Experience the ultimate power fantasy as the apex predator of the seas a terrifying Shark! Starting as a small shark pup you are tasked with surviving the harsh world while eating your way up the ecosystem. To do this you will explore a large and varied open world encountering diverse enemies - both human and wildlife. Find the right resources and you can grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended, allowing the player to tailor the shark to their play style. This is fortunate, because to get revenge on the cruel fisherman that dismembered you will take evolving into a massive shark, an apex predator of legends. Eat. Explore. Evolve. Only thing it took seriously was preaching on and on about humans being evil and diverging from nature. Like the hippie retrogressive cunts that want humans to go back to living in caves because progress and technology is satanical.

Jailam Myles I agree, I think they went on a bit too much, it’s consistent with these movements that somehow they think by jamming their opinions down everybody’s throats that they’ll listen but instead it just pisses everyone off. That aside, I do think we could improve with our treatment of sharks, for example the idea of having “shark infested waters” but they’re not pests that infest, it’s their home, you take the risk of swimming? Then be prepared to possibly get attacked, don’t see the need to hunt sharks after they’ve killed someone either, they don’t “chose” to kill, it’s their natural instinct. Same way a human does not chose to breath, drink or eat, it must do so to survive.

Jailam Myles I don’t actually think that they are taking this seriously either. It seems to me like the game was trying to parody nature documentary narrators who often preach about humans needing to stop using technology because it pollutes too much. That’s why the narrator in this game keeps saying these comments so much. It was supposed to be funny.

@@ltodag71 When an aligator or crock kills a human they will not fear them anymore so they will kill more that's why people possibly kill those who tasted human. That might be the case with sharks too. But yeah it's their home, go to an aqua park if you want to swim. 😂

Lol this game is a prime example of how video games are a great and evolving medium for story telling and second hand experience. We really can make any story as immersive, simple or complex, as we want to design it. Quite amazing. I love gaming.

IT has a taste of both. With how the game operates, how you swim around and its 3d, it has the jaws unleashed. But with the special upgrades, different kinds of sharks and evolutions, its got the hungry shark vibes. But it definitely leans more towards Jaws Unleashed. The thing that makes it lean more towards Jaws Unleashed, is that its 3d. Hungry shark was a 2d Side scroller.

Yeah, hungry shark doesn’t have a story and it’s a bit cartoony and it has a different camera angle, while jaws is 3D, has a story, and is actually a pretty good game.

Honestly this guy is saving grace for me personally, I find myself really frustrated with people like RadBrad doing a play through, its like they don’t know how to play sometimes or it’s too slow. This guy saved me when DOOM Eternal came out bc oh my god I couldn’t stand the other let’s plays

typicaly the shark is covered by dino bones wouldnt that make it survive the explosion only having minor injuries while having a distorted bone protection after all it ivolve to the meg

A life is a life no matter the percentage and nobody should be expected not to have fears. Especially since many people have a fear of the ocean aswell. At the point at around 18:38 and ending at 18:45 the shark grabbed onto a turtle and i couldnt help but find it funny that when he panned the camera, the fact that the shark had bitten right onto the turtles ass and hadnt completed the kill allowed the camera to catch the turtle with this "Oh shit, I'm gonna die" look just before the final chomp. Though the fact seeing the shark swam around for a few seconds with it jammed in its mouth was hilarious

Is anybody having any issues with the game resetting ?. I died at level 4 and had to restart the game from the tutorial , back at level 0. Then I died at level 6 and had to restart at the tutorial , back at level 0. I play on Xbox one.

I’ve read a few forums and it seems quite a few people are having this issue. It’s disappointing because I was enjoying the game , but I don’t want to play it , if my progress is just going to get wiped. Hopefully they release a patch/update to fix the problem.

I have just lost all my save data for maneater I just reached level 20 and now I have to play the game all from the beginning again I was about 7 hrs into the game, it said in the update notes that they had fixed a bug that was causing players that were losing there save data was fixed, but it has clearly not fixed the issue. Ohh well gunna start all over again tomorrow, just hope it doesn’t happen again.

a multiplayer should be added to this game . we should be able to upgrade the shark from scratch and the higher level/rank yu get you can add parts to your shark. and i had the idea on how 2k has player builds but what if they added shark archetypes that had different types of play styles

I only bought Maneater last week & I finished the campaign with regards to " Scaley Pete " I still have areas to clear out & missions to do which is odd, as although the campaign ended & it said I did it in 18 Hours & whatever minutes, it says continue you on for your shark to skill progress & grow!.. I already reached Level 30 before that final mission against " Scaley Pete's " world war boat... I'm all for finish the rest of the side missions but according to what I read last night, after completing the game, Level 30 is the biggest size of shark you can get to... I hadnt realised that the gamers would only be aloud to play as a Bull Shark, though that makes sense as they've been known to swing in salt water in sea & fresh water lakes... I'll admit I was hoping I'd get to unlock a Megalodon Shark but all you get it the ability to genetically grow your bull shark to Level 30, which is by the looks of my shark 30 feet long... I'll also admit that it felt like I played more than 18 hours & it was a blast & here's hoping for a follow up & maybe actually getting to swim the seas as a gigantic Megalodon Shark which were in the regions of 58 to over 60 feet... Did I think the game was over priced, Yes, was it worth, for this time a definite Yes & I'm off to wreak more havoc in Port Clovis & I'm sure I still have at least 2 of the main Bounty Hunters based within the game, to kill... In light of coronavirus stay safe and healthy where ever you are in the world... .....

that hunter is so silly, you are facing a shark capable of jumping so high, having intelligent yet they ride some stupid ass looking boat. Also a spear can kill shark but a shotgun and smg cant? lmao

Heat Joker Yeah let’s make it realistic and make the game not fun. Play the game and if you’re not shut up. It makes it fun as the player. Anything more realistic and it’s not use. Every game is unrealistic
