I have one of these. The fluid motion is really smooth. It locks solidly. I'll be able to get some good shots. But I'm fussy about how level the camera is. The locking mechanism fixes it in one default position. so ideally you want your camera mounted on a fluid head that allows for tilt. I haven't seen any yet. The ones I have seen, are for tripods, and have a vertical twist grip.... which of course isn't compatible with a monopod. Also, I'd still recommend it, but shop around, it does the job well, but as someone who worked in all sorts of factories, it looks like it was slapped together in a rush, by a stressed out employee, with the manager breathing down his neck. There's bits that blatantly don't line up, the feet have a little play in them. Although made with great materials, it doesn't feel like a top of the range product. I've produced barely acceptable work like this, but only when I'm being micromanaged and the management have berated me, and I've stopped caring. I used to hear Manfrotto was the best, but probably not anymore. 7/10. It's usable.

How would the feet be secured enough so that it does not accidentally twist off the monopod?
