I'm super surprised you don't have Saga. It's SO GOOD. Brutal, but amazing. On a much lighter note, you might like Lumberjanes if you liked Nimona (although it's not really written by Noelle Stevenson...she just helped with the development).

I really enjoy Seraph of the End because it's about demons vs vampires, and two brothers caught in between. I'm more interested in their stories and how they're going to survive when there isn't a "right" side and every one of the 3 groups are truly hurting humans.BTW - if you like the art of Children of the Whales you'd probably like the art of Tegami Bachi.

Ok jesse i have some good recommendations for you. The first is Attack on Titan and the second is Assasination Classroom. i have read them both and they are really good. Also another good manga series is Ouran High School Host Club

Fullmetal Alchemist has everything! It's my second favourite story after Harry Potter. I have a question: What do you do with books you don't like? Do you give them all away / sell them / keep them? Does anyone have tips for how to create more space for books / bookshelves? Bookshelf-space is seriously lacking for me nowadays. It's so bad that I almost hope I don't like a book series, because if I do like it I would have to make room for it.

My favorite manga in high school was Fruits Basket. It's such a good manga series and I wished they had continued with the anime but what can we do.

Why I think Manga is Better than Comics: - Artists don't change in the middle of an ongoing series. - One author, one series. Not a new voice every 6 issues. Love your videos Jesse i hope you make more manga related videos in the Future 😊👍.

You HAVE to read Descender by Jeff Lemire!! It's a science fiction but the artstyle is amazing! It's all drawn in watercolor and the story is really heart warming!!! You get to follow this cute little android-boy and his little robot friend in this robot-hating world and it's really really good!! By far one of my fav comic series!! Oh and for manga tips you should totally look into Naoki Urasawa's works! Especially Monster and 20 Century Boys! Both are SUPEr intense, the stories themself are insane and you will never be able to guess what will happen next! I recommend you to start off with Monster tho because 20 century boys digs into the question what really makes you YOU and it can be a bit trippy and overwhelming if you are not used to Urasawa's works haha

This manga series is rather old, but it is drawn by the same mangaka for Death Note and Bakuman. It's called Hikaru no Go, the premise might not sound thrilling, but it's oddly addictive.

Ohh great start to your manga collection! I rlly enjoyed reading Tokyo Ghoul and it's one of my favorites! I recommend getting Magi the Labyrinth of Magic and Black Butler. There rlly good manga series and rlly funny and action packed!

If you like romance D.N. Angel and Ouran High School Host Club are series that I recommend. If you like action/adventure I suggest Fullmetal Alchemist, Cirque Du Freak, and if you don't mind a lot of gore, Attack on Titan is a good series as well. There are also Manga adaptations of classic novels. Some examples are Great Expectations, The Scarlet Letter, and Les Misérables. My personal favourite Manga is Yu-Gi-Oh, I just _love_ the character design.

Coming from someone who has around 30,000 comic books (mostly marvel), I completely agree with you that the Young Avengers series is one of my all-time favorites. All the rest of your Marvel collection is great as well. If you decide to start another series, I'd recommend the Ultimate Spider-Man series (most of the Ultimate books really). It is my all-time favorite and is fantastic. Takes place on an alternate earth to the Marvel Universe...basically it let Marvel reset and retell all of its main characters in the early 2000's. Great artwork and storytelling. Just great. Fan of the channel.

You have to read Persepolis. Everyone has to read Persepolis. It's the same kind as Anne Frank's diary or I am malala but as a graphic novel and in Iran and it's one of the best graphic novel i read

I recently read Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign and it seemed interesting and true it is not your typical vampire story. So we follow the main characters Yuichiro and Mikaela at the beginning. A virus much of humanity except those under 13. The survivors aka children are enslaved by vampires who are now dominating the world. During that time, Mikaela and Yuichiro were around 8 and had lived in an orphanage with other kids, all of them become livestock.

Season 3 of my hero academia, it’s trailer has just come out and it’s so good!! Really do recommend watch the anime too! Also Blue exorcist is just as good the manga and anime.

Oh my word, Starting Point is one of my favorite books! Not only does it appeal to me as someone who adores animation, but it also inspires me as a writer more than any book I've ever read. There's some solid advise in this book about creating characters and revising plots that I haven't heard anywhere else.

I am aware this is a girly manga suggestion, but try out ‘ fushigi yugi’ when you get the chance, Jesse! It’s about a girl who gets sucked into a book called the universe of the four gods when she reads it one day, and she has to gather her ‘ celestial warriors ‘ to summon the god Suzaku after she becomes the priestess of suzaku to get back to her world. She also meets a boy after he attempts to rescue her and they have a romance throughout the series. There is much more to the manga than this though, and I’m sure someone else could have summed it up better than I did

If you loved Orange you'll love A Silent Voice (the film is amazing too!). Other series I recommend are Yona of the Dawn, Aoharu x Machine Gun, To Your Eternity, and Princess Jellyfish.

I would recommend Dimension W, Itsuwaribito, and Anonymous Noise. Especially Itsuwaribito, I feel it isn't looked upon much but it's pretty good to me. Love watching your videos. They help me find new things to read, so thank you!😀

Lumberjanes is a comic series by the same author as nimona, so I’ll think you’ll enjoy it :) it’s about a group of friends getting into some fantastical adventures, I just picked it up so i don’t know too much yet but it seems very cool

My favorite manga series are Special A, Fushigi Yuugi, Ookami Shoujo To Kuro Ouji, Ranma 1/2, Detective Conan, Orange, ZE. There are less drama in these manga series (except Orange of course) because I don't read much of heavy dramas & I don't want to hurt myself/my feelings when I could actually just chill and laugh on manga with light stories.

Jesse, I’m not into vampires either and did the same thing and bought seraph of the end by accident but it ended up being one of my favorite mangas of all time. I still don’t like vampires but i highly suggest giving seraph of the end a try because you might end up really enjoying it like I did

Read Yona of the Dawn. All time favorite. Love love love this manga series. It's about a princess who is cast out of her castle and her journey to become a warrior. Lots of action, romance, and friendship.

A manga series I would recommend is Golden Kamuy. it's quite gory , but it also has some humor at times. I have to say that it's one of my favorites.

Read Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman!!! It's adult and it's awesome! NEIL GAIMAN IS GOD!

Jesse, not sure if you know but Tokyo Ghoul has a second manga series. It's called Tokyo Ghoul Re. I haven't finished it yet but it's pretty good. It takes place 5 years after the first manga series. The characters from the first series are also in the second series along with some new characters.

I'm pleased about 2 things. A, I didn't know you had that many manga/comics and B, you said Hawkeye was one of your favourite comics and I'm very happy and pleased about that. I love this series so much and it's just hella underrated. To suggest something, if you like Vikings you should definitely check out Vinland Saga. Great story and great hardbacks for your shelf :)

Hey Jesse, there's a manga adaptation of Big Hero 6! There's only two volumes and they have slight changes from the movie but I highly recommend them.
