DN Angel actually continued in Japan after years. Sadly, the publisher in the US stopped publishing the English volumes after 13 and then it was rescued by Viz Media and when they rescue it they typically don't continue. It's just permanently a digital only release.

You brought up Nana and now my heart is breaking all over again... Ai Yazawa has been massively sick and fatigued for so long that the Nana fandom has all but given up on there ever being a resolve to the story. Luckily the anime was recently remastered and has been published again but that doesn't fill the gaps and questions that come from reading the manga. I can only hope one day she will finish her story and truly be proud of it. BrB gotta cry!

why did i have to watch this. i just casually receive manga that my friend buys me and buy whatever i can get (even though i read them online). now i have the urge to collect more mangas, because just having a physical copy of a manga you like just hits/gives a different feeling. like, having the physical copy makes it more real and connected to the author's creative manifestation, y'know (if that even makes sense). also, this video's such a cool extended from your IG stories! thanks my man!

Damn the one thing that surprised me the most was Gantz Single volumes, especially when there was a blue and black on the front (since the first of the Gantz was red) but I didn’t even know they were that rare! To be honest I’m enjoying the omnibus of Gantz but definitely the holy grail of single volumes of Gantz :)

Watching a lot of this was so full of nostalgia for me... Some good news for Daidus--the mangaka of DNAngel came out of nowhere last year out of hiatus and finished the series finally. I have no idea if there was an English distributor that picked it up to finish it though.

Always amazes me when I see a huge manga collection when lately mine is just one row on a shelf besides the complete FMA manga box set. Hears Daidus say "Sakura is best girl" showing off the Naruto collection (Super jealous since those sets go up to a $1000 each now) while in my head I default responded "Nah Hinata is queen in Naruto" Heart sank after hearing that he didn't like Assassination Classroom, though I get it since it isn't for everyone like my best friend she can't get into it at all. Surprised that he doesn't like Horimiya from all the romance manga he brings up from in collab videos (only watched the anime & I really enjoyed it) Hears Daidus say Kazuya is him from Rent A Girlfriend, nah man people like you compared to Kazuya & your with Emirichu so your already more of a man than he is from all the current chapters I'm all caught up on for it. Nana I actually started watching after hearing you talk about with Joey, got to say it's a hook from the episodes I've watched so far, definitely liking black haired Nana so far (Both characters being named Nana probably confuses new people getting into the series haha)

My god i read the first three volumes of Alive The last evolution in like 2012 and was searching for the name of this manga forever cuz I wanted to continue reading it. Thanks Daidus! Was also hesitating on buying 21st century boys (edit: i bought it its so good!) and Banana Fish. If I can recommend something, Sun Ken Rock is pretty good since you seem to like serious mangas but this one has a touch if humor in it. Give it a try!

I knew the art for The Golden Sheep looked so familiar! Please do try out Kaori Ozaki's other stuff. I think they're quite interesting, especially Immortal Rain - a p underrated series imo. I guess this could also be nostalgia talking but I honestly think it would make for a pretty good anime series as well. The day a good studio decides to give it a chance is the day I'm going to properly get back into anime again lmao
