I've been blind buying Homunculus without knowing much about it but after your thoughts and some others who also hated this volume I might have to read through these first 2 books before buying anymore! Glad to see you enjoyed Book of Human Insects. A really interesting Tezuka release.

It seems that the next volume of Homunculus might get back on track but this volume was so bad I knew there was no chance of me being able to enjoy the rest of the series unfortunately

Great job with all your reads! I will get into Ajin sometime. I have a few volumes waiting for me to try. I was thinking The Valiant Must Fall might be too historical for me, but I wanted to give it a try and see for sure. Definitely one I want to try probably early next year with the projects I have going on for the rest of this year.

It’s really disappointing that the historical details in The Valiant Must Fall were so distracting, but hopefully you enjoy it. The releases by Seven Seas are very nice.

I wish the releases for the Summar Hikaru Died was more speedy. I need more of it! Also, Wonder House of Horrors looks cool. I like the cover.

I believe there’s only 3 volumes out in Japan so there’s not much room for Yen Press to speed up unfortunately, but I eagerly await every new volume lol

Great video, I need to get to reading my Ajin volumes and start Hikaru, now I’m worried about a couple things you mentioned that I have 😅

Thanks! There’s always at least one series per month that gets some pretty heavy criticism from me lol. Hopefully you enjoy Ajin and Hikaru when you get to them!

That’s so interesting about Ajin. I enjoyed the first few volumes but it didn’t hook me. I will need to do a reread and keep going.

Once you get to like volume 5 it’s very difficult to stop reading, the volumes are so action-packed they just fly by

Personally think ajins great and only falls off if just a tiny bit after volume 10, felt like it lost direction after that arc. Glad the Halloween reads went well. I'm still iffy on Betwixt but tbh I'm pretty burnt out on horror manga.

That’s funny because I felt like I was in a reading slump in November because I didn’t have any horror manga to read lol
