God bless the Village Church for cultivating spiritual solid food to be digested by all. I pray that I will find a local church here in the U.K. where they serve spiritual solid food and not just feel-good spiritual milk.

Thank you pastor Matt. I attended the Act Like Men conference in Indianapolis. We constantly need to be reminded of this message though since 40% of those pastors have lost their way in their walk as biblical men and publicly brought down. I pray they find their way back. I think one already has but we never know what is in a man's heart.

@YikesBikes I believe she was asking for a sermon from Pastor Matt on the subject. Also, I kindly and strongly encourage you to remember Colossians 4:6 when you speak on this topic. Telling a woman that her place is "in the kitchen" may not be the most gracious way to communicate your convictions. Just a thought, brother. God bless

@@benjaminballah5982 The point I am trying to make is that modern men are waaay too soft on women and just walk on egg shells with them , never daring to tell them what they need to hear . I wonder how long this is going to last because the situation is getting more and more unbearable. The world has put the modern woman on a pedestal . I used to think it was only the world that did that but I realised that the "Christian " sphere is not all white either. With people like Chandler , men are just encouraged to sit back and let their wives run the show outside and inside the bedroom ( sexless marriage , Satan's masterpiece ). I have heard those sermons , and God knows I am no liar. I know that they preach that a married man has no more right to his wife's body and how men are so weakened that they end up believing the lie . Pure doctrine of demons. It is very serious .

Thank you pastor chandler for the word. I so need my husband to realise all what u have said as I have thought many times that he is a boy in a mans body. He is harsh n mean n cruel n a bully to me his wife. He changed when we married. He then became ugly toward me. I have had this for four years now how he is with me. It is like I have been to hell n back with this man. He knows I am all for God yet he tries to make my experiences with God a negative thing. When I have had God with me all my life. He has been with me from me being a child. God chose me. But hubby knows this so used this against me and to look at me through the devil's eyes n not gods eyes. He has been so hurtful to me he has damaged this marriage. He don't want to change the things he did before marriage thst he don't do them now. He is still wanting to do what he did before marriage. He don't listen to me at all. I have had such a hard time with him. I have called on God always about this. Hubby is hostile toward me n defensive and thinks he has to correct me all the time on what ever I say or do. It is not pretty at all. I need a miracle

I urge you to not give up. Never stop forgiving and never stop praying. I was the kind of man that you describe your husband as. I used to be that monster. Now she has left me. God has humbled me. He has broken me by allowing her to leave. Because of me, my two older children resent me and the two younger ones now suffering because of the separation. Tell your husband that you forgive him and that you love him. It won't be easy, I know. I've seen what this kind of boy-man can do to a woman, because I was like that. If God could bring me to this point of realising that I was the problem, then He can do the same for your husband. Take heart and have courage. Pray and have faith. Your situation is beyond human intervention. But you're in a good place, because it's now in the realm where God treads. Where no human words or effort has any effect. God can and He will my sister. Believe it. The darkness will turn into light again. The storm will blow over. Remember, we live by faith not by sight. Trust God.

@@denverabrahams3535 thank you Denver. I am sorry for what happened to your marriage. I knpw the devil don't like marriage he has tried to seperate me and husband for the four yrs we been married. The devil fears me as I have a high calling in God and the devil has always been after me all through my life. Even more so now. He is trying to stop what God wants me to do so he is using my husband to be the devil to me. Is there any way u can save your marriage or have u already divorced. Was she a christian lady also. My husband has broken my heart over n over over again. I now have lost weight cos of him. It really feels like I have been to hell many times with him n back again I love my Lord jesus and he is my everything but every time I speak about what God has done to me that day husband then comes against me the next day attacking me with negstive comments negstive words to me. I am meant to be as one with him I am not a seperate person from him but he has kept it that way he has not included me in his life with his family he has me away as tho i not inportsnt to him. I am not that kind of woman I have seen my parents still married npw for 48 yrs and they go every where together. N my dad just knows what his role is. Some men don't know what their role is in the marriage n don't do that role so then he then is hurting his wife by this. Boys at school need to be taught how to be a man a husband a father from. Secondary school cos some are brought up without thir dad present in the home. My three children had this but more so my son it affected as he was still young when their dad left us. I feel for my son. All I wanted was the best for him to raise him properly teach him the importance of a woman n to cherish her. I do tell him these things as I tell him if he speaks to me a certain way that he is hurting me as a female. He is loving but has to find out who he is cos his dad is not here with us. My husband dont really play any male role for my son either so he really is not knowing or seeing how a man shoukd behave. N my husband behaves wrong anyway to me n I don't want my son seeing that. Why are men just ignorant of that fact. I do get cross cosi as a woman knpw how a man shoukd be to his wife which says so in the bible n yet my husband dont put it in his life n do it. He does the opposite of God's word. Can I suggest to u to wstch the film fireproof. It is about a marriage that is failing it is made by Christians also. Watch the film n see. Where in the world do u live . Thanks for your words anyway bless u

@@lionofjudah4114 Yes we divorced. Both of us are believers, but we turned away from God's path. Both of us were raised by single moms. This played a major role in how it all played out in the end. The original purpose of our union was to stop the cycle of broken homes and lives for another generation. We both agreed to that before getting married, but we allowed the pressures of life to make us lose sight of our goal. Dishonoring God in the process. As the man in the marriage, I am solely to be blamed. I neglected my role as a husband and father and wasn't a good provider at all. Our marriage served a good purpose though. It revealed who we really are. It brought out all the bad. Now we stand naked before God with all our flaws and shortcomings. I pray that God will bring about reconciliation. That we will be remarried and our flaws that were revealed turned into holiness, bringing glory to God. Your husband is where I was at for many years. He despises and resents himself. Now you are the object of his self-hatred. He must turn back to God. He must forgive his parents. Only men who resent their parents acts like this towards their wives. Never stop forgiving and never stop praying. I don't recommend it, but maybe, just maybe, if you leave him he will reevaluate his position. Just like I did when the love of my life left me. I'm from Cape Town, South Africa by the way.

@@denverabrahams3535 husband seems to attack me being a woman also for some reason. He was fine before marriage though. If we watch a film and there is a woman expressing her feelings my husband instantly says stupid cow or something to come at the woman with and I am sat there with him. When he last did this I felt I would explode cos that is all I hear from him. When I am driving my car with him in he is constantly telling me how to drive what to do when I passed my driivng test a long time ago I am a good driver. It is like he had to tell a woman how to be yet he is a man so how on earth can he tell me how to be when he is a man n plays a completely different role altogether. God made me who I am n loves me. The way husband goes on is as though God made a mistake with me and hubby says I am a she devil. He puts all these negstive curse words over me. It isn't good. N then he wanders why there are problems with us both. He behaves like a teenager like he wants his own way n has not got it so he acts out. When he was dating me he behaved different he was showing me a man. Then we get married he then is a little boy. This is not attractive to women.

@@lionofjudah4114 He wasn't showing you a man before you got married, he showed you what women want to see. What you see now is the real him. That's what marriage does. It brings out the nasty person that God want to change for his glory. If you are in this marriage for what you can get out of it, you're gonna be miserable. It sounds like you're miserable already. You're not going to like this, but you must be in it for God's glory. Do you're part as a Christian woman and submit to your husband. This is the acceptable will of God. Don't seek to serve yourself, but to honor God as a wife. God will be faithful and turn your situation around. But if you have no desire to do so, then leave the marriage. Whining and complain about him won't change him. Prayer works wonders though. Make a decision. Trust in God, or leave.

Correct, but the Village also has a lot of resources outside of KZfaq that are really great, and I encourage you to check those out as well! They have lots of encouraging and uplifting materials, and if you ever feel inclined to give just because you want to, I’m sure it would help them keep making good materials, but they don’t ever seem to act like they are expecting you to do so. If I give to things like this, it’s because I love the work the group is doing and want to donate as a blessing, not because I’m “paying for the video”. Give how YOU feel led, don’t let someone else decide it for you.

Oh but for what else it’s worth, you may notice that there are plenty of ads that interrupt the video, which means KZfaq is actually making PLENTY of money off of this video, so you may want to check the facts on whoever told you that ;)

It would seem the Pastor needs to deal more directly with the meaning of Paul's central revelation: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28).
@aetherwise2159
@aetherwise2159 2 жыл бұрын
Sure, so long as that single verse is examined in its context. There’s always more pastors could say on any matter. I’m not positive I would represent Gal 3:28 as Paul’s central revelation, to be honest, amidst the mountain of points he makes and others he repeats more frequently. But in any case, it’s important to remember that in 3:28, Paul’s in the middle of making a point about the law and our inheritance in Christ. Specifically that the promise to Abraham extends to one offspring: Christ. Before Christ extended this promise by faith, we were captive to the law as a ‘guardian’. By believing and being baptized IN Christ, we are no longer defined by any other title other than his covering sacrifice. We are one in Christ, which makes us heirs to that promise that was given to a single offspring of Abraham. This does not remove the existence of physical roles, if you’re legally a slave, you aren’t suddenly “not a slave” because of faith, but it, but it is not what you are defined or valued as, your inheritance of the promise is not based on that, but rather on the unity in Christ. We should be careful, though, not to take this verse out and try to make it mean “we all have the same roles and anything said to one person is said to everyone universally” as it directly contradicts other teachings of Christ and other moments even in Paul’s writing where he gives specific guidance to males separate from the guidance given to females. Our value and inheritance by faith is equal and one in Christ, men are not greater than women or vice versa. But they are still unique, and at times they are addressed uniquely. That’s probably not where you were going with that, but I thought it would still be fruitful to really unpack that verse in its context.

@@aetherwise2159 Men not greater ? Man is the glory of God but woman is the glory of man in essence. It is true though that a woman who obeys Christ will be spiritually and morally greater than a man who does not . However this has nothing to do with the very essence of masculinity and femininity. The masculine is made to lord over the feminine , not the reverse.
@aetherwise2159
@aetherwise2159 2 жыл бұрын
@@framboise595 Yes, I THINK we agree on this point, but I may be misunderstanding your comment. It’s possible that I chose poor wording, but what I meant by “not greater” was that men are not more valuable, more loved, or more saved by God simply on the principle of being men. The inheritance of Christ, that we all share as believers, is received by believing men and believing women alike. The role of leadership or lording does not make someone more valuable or cherished than those they lead. Does that sound right?
@framboise595
@framboise595 2 жыл бұрын
@@aetherwise2159 Yes but I cannot help thinking that there is something in essence greater about man because Man is the image and glory of God but woman is the glory of man It's not just about leadership . It's about the very essence of masculinity which is closer to God. The masculine is trancendant while the feminine is immanent. Even pagans knew that a long time ago. The Greeks had chosen a male god (Zeus) to lord over all their other mythological gods and godesses.

Ironically, the reason this needs ‘restored’ is because so many people have taken the same approach and decided that my personal circumstances or experiences have more authority than what God’s word demands of me. While the full beauty of this lifestyle is realized when both men AND women are being obedient to what God has said of them, there is no caveat that it is only necessary when it’s being reciprocated. Just as Christ chose to sacrifice fully for and abusive and contentious people, when we were more undeserving than the absolute worst woman you could bring to mind. How wonderful is the mercy of God that He does not have this mindset that sacrifice is reserved for when it is ‘fair’. We would be truly hopeless in such a case.

You r incorrect on the man that will be unstable in shouting in the spirit, saying he is a boy inside that hates himself. What is Elijah a man or a boy that hates himself. One who calls down fire. One who kills children for calling him bald head. What is it of Moses, striking the rock, shouting out at israel, not as you said. There is in the NT a couple apostles that step where you did, and I tell you as I tell them. Yes, that opinion is nice. But that is not what Christ or GOD taught. For there is clearly times of prophets life that GODSELF drives the prophet to shouting like mad men cutting all down with the word with sharp rebuke. Job = because you have taken my bed, my couch you have brought torments upon me, I have no more rest, no place for it, so I will now speak, I will now shout out! Samuel = what have you done! You have done foolishly in not obeying the commands of THE LORD your GOD ! NOW your kingdom shall be taken from you and given to another. Then another. WHY DO I HEAR THE BLEETING OF SHEEP! and again. Because you made mothers childless on the earth so too shall your mother be childless. Samuel then cut the KING into pieces before THE KING who Samuel cut down with sharp rebuking shouting. And Samuel was such a man of known shouting and ferocious GODLY outburst That when he approached towns they see him. And they find out who. Men would head out and ask. " Do you come in peace?" He would say 'i come in peace." Lmao Peter was known for being hard, rough, lour, but none quite like James The Lord's brother. Just read him again and you can hear his short abrupt not a light man ever. You waiver think to get nothing from GOD. That alone tells you of james. Most would say where is your compassion. We are not called to be kind, we are called to be true. GOD WHO you serve will clearly decide the diminer and attitude that comes with that. Think Jesus first ministry spot. They go to stone Him. Why? First reading first time. They go to stone you, you are not being friendly. You are being true. As Paul said if I sought to please men would I be a servant of GOD. And again, Pray for me that I be bold to speak as I ought for the sake of the gospel. And again Moses. I am not a man of eloquent speech send another LORD I pray THEE. and Jesus had many stone him encounters. And Stephen the first martyr youngest apostle only 3 years after resurrection, tears into their asses with a not friendly at all sermon well it didn't end friendly. Summary you murder all the prophets of God. There is Martin Luther, and ur not Roman Catholic. So the u know a salute is do to him. And he says , I don't know if your whore mothers were in deals with the devil to birth you demons or if your just so womanly that you are whores to the devil your self. And as the pope is concerned who can tell I can't , if it is he is the devil himself or just the vicar of the devil. Locke was known to get quite irate and so too many other Scottish preachers. But all this being as it is, still brings, some days are for this some for that. And only truth will confirm if it is GODLY. " It is not the vessel we have to do with but it is that inside the vessel. He that must drink from a golden chalice with jewels, and will not drink from a broken earthen vessel, this one must die of thirst." Bonar It is not a new at not a new habit not new words new friends but it is a new life that we are called too. That is the truth. This is the way in itself, not another." Bonar "Even a fool can not go astray on the paths of righteousness that THE LORD has paived." Isaiah So then u see, u r wrong. Men are to be true if not they are all together less than a bloody used tmapon. Isaiah.
