Guys if you think about it, it did become an obsession. He had many chances to kill her but he was tormenting her and scaring her purposefully. Don’t get me wrong he did want to iill her but the obsession I’m talking about is a kind where he is obsessing over when to kill her and how to do it and taking his time

As many people have pointed out, I too, think that he was obsessed with her. At first, it was to get rid of her but I think that he started to enjoy tormenting her too much. She became an obsession for him, he liked the thrill of the cat-and-mouse game that they were on. As many pointed out, if he was just a serial killer trying to get rid of a witness, he could have killed her a million times over but instead he chased her when she ran and then played with her once he caught her instead of just killing her and being done with it.

yes he was obsessed, but in a very bad way, that because she was the first tough victim he had seen,and she made his life hell, that's why he was like having fun while torturing her, but she outsmarted him and got him killed in the end

I watched the movie, the serial killers also kill men too because the start of the movie, he killed a man and used him as bait to catch the woman and kill her. So, he doesn't kill only women

Commenting a year later lol, but he is a serial killer, but I think people more mean he was obsessed with the thought of toying with her and then killing her. But she didn’t make his life hell, at first it was because she was a witness to another girl being tortured but then it became a game for him and I think that’s what people mean by “obsessed”.
