Enragés were a French ultra radical group focusing on supporting the sans-culottes revolutionaries. The group drew from many anarchist tenancies from calling an establishment of classless society to the expansion of popular democracy. The Enagé eventually lost momentum after the Death of Jacques Roux shortly after the writing of the Manifesto. Jacques Roux was a far left Catholic priest who not only was elected to the Paris Commune in 1792. He was considered the most extremist speakers of the Enrages. He died on February 10th 1794 by stabbing himself to death.
