I was writing and finishing up the script just as he published his Something about Super Metroid video a few months back. It was just bad luck on my part that he used similar jokes that I did. To be clear, I like TerminalMontage's content and that video and I hold nothing against him. It really is just bad luck that he made his before I finished mine. Oh well. He's still funnier than me.

You know what's weird about the original Metroid game, Kraid, the tiniest Kraid we've ever gotten, is probably the second hardest Kraid we've ever fought, especially with the ice beam. Even with the wave beam he rips you a new one if you're not careful. Meanwhile, Ridley is the easiest fight in the game (maybe the series) because you just have to freeze his fire and then get up close to him and blast him with missiles.

I mean, fighting Kraid for the first time was intense, I always saved him for last. Ridley is a joke. But really the most difficult enemy in Metroid for the NES is copy/pasted non-linear tunnels. Beating the game legit (no map) for the first is one of my most satisfying game experiences. Also why does Motherbrain sound like Shmorky?
