Even without the connections to Andy's APple Farm, this seems like it could be a fun game on it's own! That music is genuinely AWESOME.

If this wasn’t a horror game, it would still be a pretty solid nostalgia game, it got the UI perfect, and the difficulty as well.

Manly's platformer skills outmatch me by a thousand years... One thing worth mentioning is that when a character gets those "Andy eyes" that usually signifies the point in which they take the place of a character, which they showed in the final scene.

Tbh, mushrooms are a ripe source for a lot of horror. Between this and that N64 Zelda styled one, there could be a lot done with them (Nature terrifies me sometimes, an ever present, all-consuming almost alien life that devours all that lives. Spooky)

The text that flashed at 16:31 says "Don't give up yet, the truth has yet to be revealed", for those who were having trouble getting it at just the right moment to see.

I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical of the new characters in Andys Apple Farm Chapter 2, but the introduction of Jeff sold me on it. His bunny knight and sunflower designs are so cute, and the core motivation he's introduced with is pretty wholesome. I just really want to see more of the cute bunny flower man.

8:35 Is some Hexdecimal representation of Ascii characters. It's a pain trying to get them all translated with all the overlap so I took the liberty. Results are below "JEFF YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF. I legit stopped when I saw the Hex stuff so this comment might be added to as I watch more. Edit 1: Not the detective? 17:00 has a picture of "Jeffrey Eastwood". Likely an uncle of the daughter. Might mean the bunny is actually the Uncle. Makes sense as its another Eastwood turned into a cartoony character. Part of a different game because he's extended family? Edit 2: After completion of the video, it's clear that the uncle isn't the one being possessed. He was trying to save her. Super cool side-game that explains how new characters will make it into the 2nd chapter. Looking forward to more :)

This game reminds me of those haunted games/cartridges like the Majora's Mask "Ben Drowned" or Pokemon (Creepy) Black. Creepypasta games, terrifying if done well.

When it comes to horror games with intentional glitches from the past, Eternal Darkness comes to mind. It only happens when your sanity level is low. My favorite glitch is when it literally blue screens you. The fun part is actually reading the blue screen.

I feel rather bad admitting it, but I couldn't bring myself to really care about the more analog horror aspects of this game. Usually, I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff but I just couldn't get into it and I think that it might be because the story of the rabbit kingdom just hooked me better. I knew from the video title alone that I shouldn't expect that story to go too far, but I still couldn't help but feel disappointed in that regard.

Eversion which manly mentions at the end was a free horror platformer where you slowly descends into eldritch dimensions. It's quite good. I am surprised Manly has streamed it since he knows about it.

As competent as the game was, I actually also really liked that little bit of talking at the end. I always like listening to your opinions on the games after playing through them, and it's specially interesting to hear you thinking about which game to play next on the channel. I'm absolutely here for that potential Nanashi no Game re-playthrough!

Oh man, Nanashi No Game did the music part of the game distortion so well imo, that part's stuck in my head for years!

The fluid movements and gameplay make me wish this wasnt a horror game and was just a straight forward platformer in a way, I think I might have liked it better that way honestly lol

the real tragedy of the game is that the side plot (the rabbit mushroom war) is far more interesting than the meta plot imo

Honestly, I feel like Rabbit Knight was such a wasted potential on their part. It really captures the design and difficulty of an Atari platformer game very well. It would've been quite a hit if the game had full-fledged levels. Personally, if I was the dev, maybe I'd add more stages and bosses and then I'll add the secrets and connections to Andy's Apple Farm there. Perhaps maybe the plot of the game and the stages and level would also be modeled to have connections to the game as well.

Nice to see Andy's Apple Farm continues to develop in unexpected ways. I never know what to expect from this, and I do appreciate that the gameplay has consistently improved. I'm all the more excited for the proper sequel.

The story reminds me of that Snow of Basidia game from a little while back. Death by parasitic takeover is like the scariest way to die to me.

[Spoilers to Rabbit Knight and Probably Andy’s Apple Farm] . . . . . . . . . With the release of this spinoff, it kinda opens more of the story and also brings us new characters (other than the sunflower dude at the end of the game which was shown on M36’s Twitter, forgot where the post is/when the post was shared as I don’t have Twitter myself), from what we got from the game’s secrets, Jeff took Isabella into his care due to the fact both Kaitlyn(? Forgot her name sorry) died and Thomas probably either died or ran off after killing Arthur (probably the latter since he didn’t show up in the news thing, could’ve been killed after running off by Peter/The Entity though), which then I’m assuming he works as a therapist or officer, Jeff tried to find out what happened since Isabella was found at the scene after Police arrived. The rest is kinda hard to understand but I assume that Jeff tried to figure out what was going on which led to him finding the Entity and getting himself both killed and dragged into Rabbit knight or AAF. Note that this is only a theory/guess on the story so far with this game and all, plus I’m a bit forgetful with the AAF lore so feel free to correct me in the replies! Other than the whole lore thing, I do hope Manly keeps up the good work with his very good videos!

Like, you make these games with hidden stuff all the time that are horror games, then one day it's literally just a cute little nostalgia adventure platform. Which you act like there might be something, but in the end it's nothing.

That wasn't too shabby. Honestly my only big critique would be to reduce the screenshake on actions Also that thing at 3:33 looks like a gameplay adjustment so you wouldn't bonk on the side of the wall and lose all momentum

Man, now I just wish this dev would make a Castlevania style game. Castlevania has some of the best gameplay and I don't see enough of it. The best ever Castlevania style game is Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Such a good game.

This reminds me of the Bunny Farm episode of the walten files I'm a way. It's probably because of the scenes with people's faces and places but it's really really well done! I always wanted that to be an actual game, so having something that gives me a similar feel is amazing
