Do chatrooms still actually exist like? I think I'd forgotten about them tbh :| You mean, there's more to life than me writing to myself in notepad and then answering myself in notepad over and over again for years...? I mean I totally don't do that *nervous laugh* that'd be crazy, I'm not mad as a hatter hah haha ha of course I'm just um joking y-yeah! :D I have no idea what people actually use these days as chatrooms in the legit sense of the word anyway, would Discord be considered such a thing? ... I recall AOL chatrooms that use to be linked to from inside the AOL browser when they use to exist as an ISP, and... Man, now they *were* weird! I remember actually having too much anxiety at that age back then to explore chatrooms and such all that much but I most definitely recall AOL chatroom experiences were only ever awkwardly weird though many probably had far better luck than I, so. And I doubt IRC is even known by many these days let alone popular, I'm so out of date there's a bizarre sense of disconnect when suddenly thinking about such things, the internet has changed so much haven't kept up o.o XD

@@spidercoom5059 Yeah, that's what I thought - haven't checked it out in ages though and never used it enough to quite know my way around it or remember what it's like even. (seems so antisocial but I'm nothing of the sort really tbh) Discord is most definitely on my to-do list, for more reasons (and people!) than one. I've got the app downloaded already and I'm going to give it a go as soon as I feel a little bit better again physically and less stressed out mentally from life and stuff to do so. Thank you for recommending it to me :)

My theory is the main character was targetted by a groomer/predator through the chatroom and when they got on after years of being away that groomer spoke to her again while she was home alone. The various endings are her either getting pulled back into the groomers manipulations, going as far as meeting him, or in the best ending, deleting her profile despite it holding a lot of sentimental value to her. Like, these games that this game was based were really thriving during an era where there was a lot of fear over children getting abducted by predators they met online. And because of the cultural lack of information and a lack of regulations on childrens online games at the time, some kids died or disappeared. The game definitely reminds me of that old cultural fear of strangers you meet online and what could happen if you give even a little bit of personal information to them.

idk I took the whole "destroying memories" thing as literal. It's a game you've played with friends and probably had good memories in, but now you're deleting it all to save yourself despite the good times. Some part of me feels like there could be symbolism in meeting up with strange men online and being whisked away... but that just seems like only One of the endings...

Honestly, I kinda love the story to this. There is enough that you can follow along and continue as you'd like in your own mind, but not enough to restrict you to 'this is actually what is happening'. Very interesting little experience.

Based on that other game Manly played and this, maybe we shouldn't play with random strangers because they can hack your location. I feel like the rat emphasize a man who wants to take children away, just like the other endings where we follow the stranger we met online. The rat is described as a broken man who wants to take another person's time. Jack spade might be the child's father, who was a drunken mess searching for the person who kidnapped his child. Or it might be the police.

I'm curious about how it judges the "quality" of the drawings you send it. I noticed that when you start sending it quick little low-effort things to rush through the game starts getting more critical. ie: "That's a rat in a church?" and the wedding suddenly being described as "humble" instead of "perfect". It might be tied to the answers you give or just random but I thought it was interesting.

I don't fully see the Alice in Wonderland theme beyond the endings saying it's there, but I liked this if only because we got some Manly drawings. Really do love the little cat face. I never spent much time on a site like this, but I'll trust Manly on it getting the feel right.

Okay, is it just me, or does the creepy look a bit like that old meme that used to pop up every now and then? The shadowlurker or some shit like that? As for the game itself, I'm definitely getting child abduction or internet stranger danger feels from it, but aside from that, honestly? This is a normal day in most chatrooms.
