I love this game's style, they went above and beyond for this one. It's so refreshing to see a victim just immediately get revenge in a game too. She's employee of the year, I swear. Cleaning after death takes true dedication.

AAAAAH HOWD HE NOT NOTICE tHE DUDE IN THE BACK OF THE VENDING MACHINES THE FIRST TIME

Spoilers, but this is what the story seems to be: Assumin we the played are an *actual person*, Pom was hired to work at the hotel by the cult. After a certain amount of time, they lured her up to the suite to kill her to use her in a ritual. Her spirit ends up trapped in the hotel by the ritual. They hire "us," the player character, to take her place, but she doesn't realize she is dead, so when we come to work (we can see her) she thinks that she needs to train us. (Or, she subconsciously knows that she is dead and knows that the cult will try to kill us too, but consciously just thinks she should tag along.) If this is the scenario, then it's likely the shadows at the vending machines were the cultists watching us to try to grab us, or maybe even just people that aren't in the cult looking to see whats going on- only to see someone staring at a vending machine that is violently jerking around. Shadows in the rooms could be other people who were tricked and killed. When we get to the penthouse, it's possible that they try to grab us- only for Pom to remember what they did to her, causing her to lose it. From there, she chases down and kills the cultists, which either revives her (she has color back in her skin, though not her clothes) or allows her to move on. Presumably, the difference in ending is that if we prioritize the tasks, it reminds her of her humanity. If we bee-line to the penthouse, she doesn't get reminded of this, and wakes up something else... or becomes it. If the player character isn't a living human, then it's likely we are something that isn't quite a ghost, sent to assist her in getting to the point of moving on. In this scenario, *not* prioritizing her tasks makes the penthouse more damaging, resulting in her haunting the hotel forever.

Manly: The mini games are so peaceful to play! Us: *noticing the guy creeping during the vending machine task and mirror Pom glitching out* Yeah....

You didn't point it out, but in the vending machine mini-game you can see a figure stalking around the left side hallway! Spooky!

Stuff that’s written in that scary screen: “Remember” “Remember what they did- why didn’t you” “Remember what they did” “Why didn’t you fight?” A bunch of words made out of letters I can’t translate (If they can even be translated) around a giant heart “Why didn’t you fight” “Why did you let them- [WHY]” “Why did you let them take your” “WHY DID YOU LE” “WHY DID YOU LET THEM TA-YOUR HEART OU” An entire red screen full of “why didn’t you stop them why didn’t you stop them” with one giant “WHY” over it in the middle That one skipped text at the second end: “We make a good team, don’t you think?” “Hey. Where are you going?”

I think the manager was a child just by the way she acts and what her tasks are. Putting away crayons and drawings, wiping a mirror clean with her hands, collecting items and calling them toys, her idle chatter in the elevator also gives it away since it's similar to kids chat (i.e.. scary hotdog claymation, saying "specific" instead of "pacific" ocean, feathers and bird leaves). I dunno, it's a subtle detail that I don't know what it suggests asides that she is a child or she is pure or naive?

Manly didnt notice the shadow figure when entering the first bedroom, and when a creepy dude was slithering around the corner while fixing a vending machine.

Manly was expecting it to be a bit old school, and then they hit him with the Fallout 1 style game.

For anyone wondering, bête grise means grey beast in french.

Spoilers!: I love that even as a revengeful ghost, she still has that cute friendly smile on her face.

Pom really prides herself on doing everything with a smile.

This game has a lot of really subtle scares that are easy to miss, like 11:39 did you see the shadow in the hallway slowly coming closer? You're too focused in the minigame itself to really pay attention to your surroundings which makes scares like these so much more effective

As someone who used to work as Night Auditor literally until the end of last year I feel slightly called out. The front doors opening and closing in the middle of the night was just a normal thing by the way. We welcome (most) all guest; alive or not.

I really love how Manly was so focused on the tasks, like a good player should be, that he never really noticed the shadow figures disapearing when he enters the rooms, or another shadow silhouetter appearing around the corner whenever he was doing his task on every vending machine.

I noticed the letters on the right fade to "God I am" and the figure on the left only at 5:35 and had to go back to check the other vending machine scenes 😂

aside from the obvious shadow at the vending machine and the creepy kids drawings, the reflection glitches out at 4:01 and the lettering on the poster at 7:12 fades to spell out "I AM GOD"

Omg @5:42 you can see a siluet of a man just staying in the corner. I really wanna play back and see if all are like that. Edit: after rewatching from the begining, i can confirm that the manly siluete is indeed present, you can even see how they creep up when the MC shakes the vending machines.

This game was really interesting and the main character kinda cute tbh (when she alive and in ghost form(Not the scary ghost form) ), and it's really cute that after she died she still have that happy mood and etc. P.S In the ending where we leave hotel i saw a shadow with horns, are we playing as Devil ?
