Pixie, for the influence from donating to the church, it only donates while you're collecting taxes. So even if you don't necessarily need the money or if it hurts the happiness a bit, you should make sure you're taxing a little bit for consistent influence flow.

Carots are very effective if you put it on house that has a BIG field in their yards , when you are building homes and select the spaces you would like to place house into it , you can choose to build as an exemple only 2 house in the big space you choose , that will leave them with a nice field , build like 3-4 homes like that with a big yards and carrots helping alot in the begining 🤝

The reason you have more retinue is because you have the towers on the side of your manor! I remember you placing it in the early episode! I think you can place more to allow more retinue to be bought!

Going off of your statement at 43:06, if I remember correctly, a suit of armour back then would cost as much as a house would today. A horse, depending on your work, pay and the horse type, would cost 6-12 months worth of wages. Also, wages weren't always paid in cash but were paid 'In kind' as well. This 'In kind' would be equal value paid with crops, animals, goods, clothes and tools. I read this 'Some field working peasents were paid 3 shillings a year', and I read this 'a King once bought a prized war horse for his son for 120 pounds sterling'. 20 shillings was 1 pound sterling. 120 pounds is 2400 shillings. 2400 shillings is equal to 800 years worth of savings, without spending anything, ever.
