What a view of the room right at the beginning... I can't believe this is all painted - especially the reliefs. But the detail everywhere blow me away. I love the joke and chubby bbs in the oculus, that was great. 🥰 This is a new favorite for me.

I know very well this room and the Ducal Palace (the Gonzagas became Dukes afterwards), it takes my breath away every single time I go there,and believe me I've been there many times. thanks so much for this video, love and happy 2021 to everyone from Mantova!

The map is incorrect, if the Duchy of Ferrara is represented as separated from the Papal States, then also the other "legazioni pontificie" should be shown as independent states, as they actually were: Urbino and Rimini at least. Being the capital cities of their own states, Urbino and Rimini have their fair share of masterpieces of art and they are at the centre of the Renaissance movement, with Piero della Francesca and Leon Battista Alberti just to cite two persons very active in the cities.
