Charles Barkley never came off the bench, Nor did Karl Malone, nor did Patrick Ewing. NONE of them won a ring, so let's not make this a hate on Melo, following the media driven narrative about him. Melo is a little bit underrated now, because of what happened in the last couple of seasons. But he was one of the best scorers in his prime, in the iso ball era. For about 10 years as a matter of fact, so 10 times all-star seems about right. Manu should have been selected more than 2 times, but he was up against strong competition in the west. Kobe and Melo were just ahead of Manu in terms of stats, which always seems to be a deciding factor. Manu was just as good as Kobe and Melo imo: the ultimate team player, played less minutes, but was just as important.
