A quick guide on how to replace the MTF manual transmission fluid on a 2007-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer/ Proton Inspira. Lancer stick shift fluid.
Replacement interval 100000KM.
Transmission fluid requirement: 2.5 litres of 75w80 MTF

as soon as I watched 1 of your videos, I subscribed, Quick, to the point and well done! are you able to show yourself changing the oil in the Shit Turret on the Lancer?

My dealer didn't want to change the transmission fluid, he says it isn't necessary. Even though the shifting has been pretty rubbish since the past 70000 km. Should I try to change ir myself? I don't want to mess anything up. Or should I ask someone experienced?

If you have the correct tools, funnel, jack and space to do it then give it a go, nothing complex here, otherwise take it to a shop cos it's probably going to be long time before your make another change.

Do you have an online/soft copy service manual that states which parts/oil (e.g alternator belt, gearbox oil, filters etc) need to be replaced after a certain mileage or years?

Mitsubishi calls for 90K KM service interval, but most owners I know change it around 40K to 50K KM or when shifts aren't as smooth.

I’m about to get mine done I bought the car last year and it’s got pretty high km (267,000) I want to make sure I service it the best I can so it lasts as long as possible , do I need to use the Mitsubishi special Mtf and most importantly how much ive heard a lot of scary stories about people who own these cars having lots of transmission problems

The manual calls for that. Your decision really, I can't advise on that. I've been using Honda MTF for 8 years but my mileage is less than 100K KM.

No problem for 8 years. A lot smoother compared to Redline MTL.

Search "Honda MTF Ultra" in Shopee but very expensive now. I got it for 220 a few years ago.
