Talk about women in real power. In brightness, intelligence and extremely God gifted. And so many great writers and thinkers that happened to be women... Madame Staël, Susan Sontag, Anne Sexton, Silvia Plath, the Austen sisters, Elfriede Jelinek, Anne Munro, Svetlana Alexievich, Carmen Boullosa, Joyce Carol Oates, Berta Müller, María Zambrano, Morrison...etc etc etc

Interesting how she pinned down America's thirst for "leadership" over democracy back in 1992. Charlie Rose was halfway thru saying "strongman". Yeah that about sums it up. Interesting how she also mentioned the lack of connection with voters in the two parties. That's what happens when they pretty much ignore the voters while throwing them distractions and aim to keep their focus on the other party's wrongdoing. Watching this... well it was inevitable that after decades of being ignored, voters became more extreme in their views. It's not the total cause for the current problems, but it's the driving force.

...Sometimes I can't help but wonder: What ROLE The DEMOCRATS had in Setting Up the Dumpster as a Strongman? After all, it has Completely DEFLECTED ANY Scrutiny of Pelosi's Turning the Legislative Branch into HOUSE Of INSIDER TRADING!!! (Meanwhile, Pelosi's Iron FIST KEEPS SQUASHING PROGRESSIVES!!

She did not seem to mind his interruptions. They did not have the option of a long interview and he seemed to know her thoughts well enough that nothing was lost. Her verbal thoughts are not as poignant as the written ones anyway.

Lowbudget Soop any interview, if considered poor, is always the fault of the interviewer, never the interviewee. Rose either underprepared for the meaningful probing of, or could not keep pace with, (or both) Didion’s genius.
