With NJ Transit's much-maligned upcoming fare hikes, it was announced that in addition to tickets expiring within 30 days after purchase starting on July 1st, any usued ticket bought before that date will expire at the end of July. I have a few such unused tickets, so I've been eager to put them to use before they expire. One of these tickets was for a trip from Maplewood to Denville, which I had bought the last time I went to Maplewood but had been allowed to hold onto, so I figured that since the weather this Friday looked promising, it was as good a time as any to return to Maplewood to use up the ticket.
I arrived in the early afternoon and remained there for several hours. Due to several factors, a lot of trains throughout the day experienced delays. Between this and the curve at this station still throwing me off, I had a bit of difficulty keeping track of when trains would arrive or pass through. Still, I did have a good enough time, only missing one train while trying to look at the schedules.
1: Train 424 crawls in on Track 1 with Arrow III 1459 in charge, running 8 minutes late. 1501 is at the end.
