OMG.. Finally.. Thank you for reacting to BTS, being open minded, and acknowledge their music. I'm a fan of Sohyang and I've watched all of your reaction to her performances. Back then, seeing how much you admire her, I wish you could react to BTS as well but I never ask for you to do that because I'm afraid KPop is not your thing. BTS is a part of KPop but they are very different from normal KPop acts. I can say this because I've listened to KPop for ten years but I've never found another KPop group like them. They are so different. There are also another amazing KPop group that I like but no other artist that I love as much as BTS. They are involved in music production of almost every songs they've released. Every member are involved in writing, composing, or producing everything. They have their own producers as well so they made the song altogether. I love them because they are the complete package. I subscribed to your channel because i used to follow Dimash K. I SAW how enthusiastic you were every time you reacted to his videos from "The Singer" and how you were authentically awed and I loved it! You are very honest with your reactions. When I received the notification that you were reacting to BTS I was honestly shocked. I'm far from wanting to label or categorize you, but I wasn't sure this was your cup of tea, actually I was almost sure. That was enough to bring me back here to watch this. ONE MV from BTS is not even a fraction to be able to understand what they are about. Their music and videos differ from one to the other, there's a whole theorizable storyline to follow from their debut in 2013, there's true meaning and messages behind their songs and believe me when I tell you that us , ARMYs (BTS fans) follow each and every step they take. BTS is a whole universe in itself. There is SO MUCH, I will mention just a little. They have individual songs for the vocal line which are beautiful and so are the MVs, the also have individual mixtapes for the rapline plus all the rest of their songs where they sing together mixing the styles. I would not take BTS as a representation for KPOP even though they are categorized as such, they ARE different and have their own style and much more that would take volumes to explain. So I want to thank you for reacting to DNA from BTS, but please don't take this one and only song as an example of what BTS performs because sometimes the most viewed MV is not necessarily the best one. They have so many more! I think some other BTS songs/MVs you might like are “fake love”, or “fake love (extended version)” which is my personal favorite version of the two (the extended version has more to the story in the video and the song is almost like a rock version of the original song). And “save me”, “IDOL”, “blood sweat and tears”, are also really great songs and MVs. Their live performances of “Ma City”, “Move” “Born Singer”, “hip hop lover” and “2! 3!” are great ones to watch if you’d like to see them live

I couldn't tell from your comments if you were aware, but BTS MVs all have English subtitles (cc button). I strongly recommend you use it, since BTS songs are all about something... Also, just want to say something I wish someone had told me when I first got into Kpop... Kpop is not a genre of music, it's an industry. It includes music, dance, fashion and beauty. So groups that are in Kpop are idols because they're supposed to represent the epitome...more or less. That said, Kpop is always mixing genres of music: rock, hip hop, jazz, r & b, soul, etc which almost always includes EDM. You should always find something you can enjoy. BTS is different from the average Kpop group (if there is such a thing) in that they also write and produce and they are perfectionists re music, dance, the whole package. On top of that their music often is about social ills, angst, mental issues, even the economy. Every MV they put out is different from the others. AND they have a storyline that runs through several albums..so if you see imagery that you don't understand in a video rest assured that it's in there on purpose because it's part of the storyline.

Hey, I know you guys from the Pentatonix reviews. IF you continue you will be going down a rabbit hole. BTX aren't (I find) representative of Kpop in general. I feel they are different from the average Kpop band. I'll let the others in the comments give you the info about the band. Hopefully you'll continue. You WILL get flooded with requests. All their content is great. I suggest that if you continue to definitely review some of the live performances too. That is where they really shin above and beyond many of the other Kpop and really any other act. Great review. **hint** many of their video are closed captioned (cc) at the bottom. If they don't have that symbol there are lyric videos out for every one of their songs. I find it hard to read and appreciate the video. So I watch for the visual first and then rewatch with the lyrics. After looking at the other comments I decided to add some things that I wasn't seeing others mention. 1) There is a video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rttgfMlz28Cxgqc.html that introduces people to each of the 7 members and describes their roles within the group. It's almost 30 minutes so even if you don't do a reaction to it I suggest IF you're going to go down the endless BTS route it would be very helpful for you two to watch it. 2) Their music videos. IF you continue watching you might be very confused by some of them and feel like you're lost and don't understand them. That's because there is a running storyline that they've been doing for almost 4 years now. You really have to watch them order but it still is mysterious. Not all videos are a part of this storyline but many have hints if not all out parts to the convoluted storyline. (Also watch all videos until the very end, most storyline videos have something after the credits). There are theories a plenty about what it's all about and if it will continue in their next "era" of music. Some get irritated by it, I LOVE it because frankly I don't know of any western act that would have that much attention to detail or the attention span to even attempt something like that. Again, IF you decide to continue I hope you do so with an open minded (I'm fairly sure you will) and just enjoy the ride. Note: Army (the BTS fandom) are super passionate and protective of our Boys.

Yea! BTS reaction! I have been a long time watcher of your channel. You are one of my very few Dimash "Go-To" reactors. Please continue with BTS as well. You will find they are extremely versitile in music genres. You will also be surprised to know the majority of ARMY (their fandom) ranges between 20 & 40 yrs old. Now, you mentioned their artistic approach to their mvs? You have to be careful with them, they use a lot of art symbolism as well a interpretation of literature. Watching their mv's alone is great but they also have a multi year & album storyline that goes on as well if you watch some of their mv's in a certain order. By the way, in an interview with the BTS they said that two of them were whistling. Whose whistling producers do not know. But the whistle is real. Waiting for more reactions!

I subscribed a long time back for your Pentatonix reactions, and you became some of my favorite reactors. Sooo glad to see you reacting to BTS! I think you would really like Spring Day. It's about dealing with the loss of a friend/loved one, but it's also a quiet tribute to the victims of the Sewol Ferry tragedy. Also, if you didn't turn on the subtitles, you ought to do that for future videos. Fyi--the members of BTS work are involved with composing, arranging, and producing on most of their songs. Also, they write their own lyrics most of the time.

I haven't been this excited for one of your videos since GOT. I hope you do more BTS reactions, some of their videos are quite a ride. I'm a metal fan myself but I totally fell in love with their videos and performances. I guess we can all appreciate great artistry no matter the music genre we favour. And the guys in the band are very entertaining too, you should watch some introduction videos. They are funny, humble and kind, a rare thing in the music industry these days.

BTS has dabbled with a variety of genres by mixing and producing most of them themselves (along with many other talented producers and writers) . The rappers have also released self produced mixtapes as well. Many of their lyrics are very intricate which holds good meaning addressing some socially conscious contents by addressing mental health,bullying, self love & acceptance etc.... Almost all of their music videos have captions so you can get a better insight as to what they are conveying :)

I think you would enjoy the Truth Untold by BTS. There's not music video but I suggest looking up a lyric video because the lyrics are beautiful and really add to the music. Which is true for most BTS songs.

I think you would like Save Me, Serendipity, and Singularity (haha, they're all 's'). Each of their albums has a different feel, but the Love Yourself era is probably the best - three different albums all connected and showing the progression of learning to love oneself. A little masterpiece, I believe. My personal favourite of that is 134340.
