Thanks Michael. As a classical lover, I savor any recording made in the Concertgebouw. It always had a reputation for being one of the best sounding halls in the world (along with Carnegie Hall and Boston, and perhaps a few others).

Hace unos días tuve la suerte de poder estar en la presentación de la serie KI Ruby en Super Sonido de Bilbao y sobre todo disfrutar de la sabiduría impresionante del Sr. Ishiwata, que es historia viva de la música en su vertiente de creador de electrónicas y aparatos H-IFI. Fue interesante esta nueva serie,pero fue mas maravilloso su recorrido por la historia de la reproducción musical desde la época analógica a nuestros días. Un placer y una lección de una persona que lleva muchísimos años en la cresta de ola del mundo H-IFI y que además de una sabiduría brutal es una persona humilde,accesible y encantadora. Le deseo, que siga teniendo muchos años más de éxito. Un placer poder disfrutar de su charla.

Why does Marantz seem to no longer support this player? They act as though it never existed. One example: On their website, there's no download for the driver needed to play files via UBS from a computer. The SA-KI Ruby (only 4-5 years old) is not even listed!

I've seen Ken speak so many times, but this was a lot of new information to me. Awesome.

Michael is beginning to see the light, finally moving from records so SACD:) Btw. I have placed an order for "The Wonderful Sounds of Female Vocals" SACD with liner notes by one Mr. Michael Fremer. Looking forward to receive that one, great selection of tracks.

Maybe Pascal was right. Maybe we'd all be happier staying home. There should be a class of intellect that just stays home and doesn't try to explain the world to other people.

Mikey: I am an über-fan. Seriously, an über-fan from New Zealand. I love your mild madness and your enthusiasm. If you ever want to go to the south pacific for a holiday you (and any attachments) will be welcome in my home. It will give me the opportunity to show to you the benefit of Direct Drive. In the MEANTIME - and I know you mean well - please upskill your video! !! !!! I know you must have so many followers but to be perfectly honest (and I do love KI) I could not get through it.

These long form videos are really interesting. I do wish those with cameras that emit a beep before capturing an image would disable the sound. It's an easy to find setting in most cameras and the beeps get old.

Until 28:54 minutes... I find very surprising some things Ken says, he said he did solution production problem and rejected units out of specifications. Well, that is a problem unique to a japanese brand, Marantz, that did belong to a Duck enterprise and production made between Brussells and Japan. What a senseless complication. The biggest Japanese electronic brands had no such problem!!. If my rudimentary English hasn't failed to catch the speech of KI, he gives the impression that Japanese audio engineers were under their western colleagues 🤔. My point of view is that there have been very good engineers from America, but the maniacal craftsmanship of Japanese audio when they built no compromise components was unsurpassed out of Japan until very recently so... With few exceptions, Marantz Japan has manufactured mid range hi-fi, inexpensive but a correct sound for the price, nothing more. I recall buying a cheap Marantz integrated amp the could change the bias of the power stage to class A/B to pure class A, mediocre sound and poor componentry, easily surpassed today even by mass market sets. I reckon Ken has been successful in making people believe, they bought hi-end products at low prices with the many badges he put if the fascia, KI, KI SE, KI ES PEARL, pure marketing, like his style of clothes. "I'm not going to bargain myself" or something similar he said, 'grandilomania'. How much earns he by his work? and how much are Chinese workers paid for doing Japanese Marantz products? ...,...🤨

man, im not electronic engineer but i made an amp im listening this on, by my self , no schematics , and when you know that much , to make your own , you cant watch this with a str8 face , its like watching a magician, its good, but you know its fake . That is the best way i can describe it.
