Thumbs up for the phono output! I still listen to my albums every once in awhile on mine. Or, break out some of my dad's oldies albums too. FYI, my first receiver was the Marantz SR1000 back in 1981 when I was 14 years old. To this day, it was one of the best receivers I've ever owned, great sound.

That's awesome! We have been a Marantz dealer for many years and have seen WAY LESS Marantz receivers have any issues compared to several other brands! It's good to hear that some people are getting the vinyl back out! Love it! Thanks for watching

Thanks for the information. My question is this: Would four Polk RM1300 satellite speakers and a subwoofer work well with this receiver? My 5.1 Onkyo died and I want to go back to a two channel stereo, but I want to use the same speakers. I appreciate your feedback.

You know of any modern day receiver that will accept rcas such as tape monitor tape 2 monitor PB and PB rec for an audiosource eq?

there are so very few unfortunately, I still listen to cassettes quite a bit and I record quite a bit and the only amp that I know of that has a tape monitor function is the exposure 2510. it's a British integrated amp and it sounds nice, I've heard one, but they're not cheap either at about 2500 or 2600. McIntosh used to have tape monitor functions on there integrated amps but of course they're quite pricey as well.

Would it make sense to use this NR1200 as a preamp into a Marantz 7025 amp? I like to use EQ and the only way for me to get EQ tailoring for all inputs is to use this as a pre-amp and stick the EQ in between the proposed new 7025 amp. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thx

That would work. I believe we have done the same thing before to use a better amp on a two channel setup, but needed hdmi switching. Sounds like your on the right track to a pretty nice setup!

Hi i am planning to buy this , will it be enough to drive my jbl l166 big speakers? Just wanted to confirm , please let me know

It will play them since it's a 75 watt per channel receiver. Those speakers aren't very efficient though. You could always start off with this receiver and then add a better 2 channel amp to power those speakers later. That receiver has pre-outs so you can do that later if you like.
