Created by the Baschet Brothers in the 50’s, it’s a marvellous musical instrument and piece of art. I play it on soundtracks I compose (« Breathe », « Galveston » by Mélanie Laurent) and with my band ANiMEiTiD. Enjoy listening !

@@JonathanMLM I mean I'm pretty sure that he is playing a part of the soundtrack. Except that in the soundtrack it is accompanied by other instruments so it doesn't sound exactly the same. I'd love to hear the whole thing with just that instrument too.

This is just stunningly beautiful! I guess it's like they've taken a glass harmonica and created the same thing in a chromatic scale, with glass rods.....I guess???? I LOVE strange instruments! I play one myself, called the Array Mbira. It too has the most beautiful sound. Is this instrument you are playing available for sale? I'd LOVE to know. I know it is old...how would one find one? Oh what it would sound like with the Array Mbira!!!! Oh maybe we should think about collaboration and putting the two together? Oh goodness! I LOVE this!

From what I've heard is that you can't just buy one. Somehow you have to get extremely lucky to aquire one. I wish there was a clone type of instrument out there.

The closest instrument I’ve come across that is similair to this on a smaller scale is called a “Euphone”. Which costs $1,000 USD as a base price. The same concept is used to play it. The instrument in this video is basically not purchasable. You can’t really “buy” one, unless you’re extremely lucky to know someone who has one and will sell it.
