@@realbeautyness25 That's a very nihilistic. Point of view. There is a lot of work to do before reparations. You need black lawyers, judges, mayor's, senators, governers and lobbyists. You think it's magic how they reset gains and tax cuts every 4 years. Unfortunately you will need to step out of that type of thinking cause all you will have is the internet as a safe space and will be unable to do a thing about it. Cause you've given up before the process has even begun. Also when you have random groups of black people who don't believe they are descendants of enslaved people. How you gonna when you've given up before the race begun.

The Arab-Israeli conflict has no correlation with South African apartheid. Jews are from Judea, and they aren’t colonizers or settlers. Jordan occupied the West Bank from 1948-1967. Get a history book. Jews were always in the Levant and they purchased huge tracts of land under the Ottoman Empire. The Arab population of Mandatory Palestine left during the various wars because Haj Amin Al-Husseini told them to leave so the 5 Arab armies could “kill the Jews.” You have no idea what you’re talking about.

@Speaking Facts Israel has only existed since 1948. Before that, Jewish, Christian and Muslim folks lived together in harmony in Palestine. This war is not a religious war, it’s an issue of colonialism, white supremacy and apartheid. If you support Israel that is literally what you are supporting.

Remember, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere...”. You have to stand up for causes like this because if not you’re saying it’s okay because it’s not your problem. We will never move forward in society if we can justify ignoring injustice by having an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ attitude. Then people around the world can say the same thing about our struggles.

Reading these comments make me a bit disappointed by my people. Yes we as black people have experienced discrimination in this country for over 400 years. And must positively keep pushing forward for social, political and economic equality. However, what we shouldn’t do is put on rose colored glasses and become blind to issues that affect ppl all over the world. Also as Americans we all have privileges that other countries just don’t have such as the ability to criticize our own government without persecution. I know it makes some black ppl feel uncomfortable to even think that other people are struggling as much as we are but that’s reality. We should care about equality for everyone everywhere. Not because that other group has done it for us but because it’s the right thing to do! And for the other reasons mentioned by MLH! Becoming politically aware doesn’t only stop within your own borders. ✊🏾

I know right??? This brother and his politics aside, It's about seeing the connections and forming alliances. Oppressors are intellectuall lazy, they tend to do the same ish over and over again. Soth African activists befriended the Catholic leaders in Northern Ireland and Indian nationalists trying to end segregation in their countries. The first 30 minutes of "Judas and the Black Massiah" explains why it is important to build coalitions. If you're not ready to give a damn about poor people in rural America dying slowly from economic injustice, our calls for repriarions will never be answered.

I am Black and a Marxist and pro Palestinian. I first started doing work on the issue in the early 1970s. It was tough going. I was on a largely Jewish campus. I and others who worked on the Israel/Palestine conflict were met with very little hostility. We were just largely ignored. We were few in numbers. Today it's totally different. I think the change began in the '80's or '90's. Many Jews are very critical of Israel. Especially younger Jews. The key is educating yourself about the history of the conflict. Since the early 20th century especially.

Because your leaders snoop dog and his peers, the strippers and the shade room, keeping it real! and do ya thang! when Malcolm and Nelson Mandela were your leaders the whole world helped you. Marc Lamont will be very ashamed and embarrassed if he saw what you wrote, because he is a true leader he and many people like him work day and night they risk it all life money job to defend you and educate you and uplift you but you always choose Ignorance. You will never have a good leader because the gap between your brain the a true leader brain to big, they can't lead punch of people the only thing they want to do is recording mix tapes selling drugs or buying them.

As a fellow human, I wish all oppressed people the best in their struggle against their oppressors. However, let's stop pretending that anti-blackness is rampant in the Middle East. As black people, we have enough issues of our own to focus on. Palestinians in the US have never shown solidarity to black causes so I won't put my energy into this. This is not our fight.

We're part of a diaspora bro. That's our problem now, we only think of ourselves in terms of American blacks when if we're being real, of the 6 Million Africans enslaves in the TAST only 300,000 were brought to America. Over 2 million went to Brazil alone. We got cousins all over the hemisphere

@@JustJJr That diaspora narrative is con only ran on Americans by people who seek to gain on the Freedom struggle Black Americans FOUGHT FOR HERE IN AMERICA.
