@@sazandude9022 Making excuses... The first time in Mexico he did two Thursday practices with the orchestra, Concerts on Friday and Saturday night, and then a NOON Sunday concert with barely 12 hours of recovery time, that first recording was from that fatigued performance.

@@williammitchell1864 he is actually better. Probably given credit he has never smoked or done drugs. Marc’s voice is pure alike Freddie and I don’t discount the Freddie but Marc is a noticeably better and I think that’s what attracts the likeness to the originality of Queen.

Let's be honest here, guys: Not even Freddie could sound exactly like the record when he performed this song, but Marc can. Freddie had the charisma, he was the ultimate front-man, but Marc Martel has the live vocal abilities that even Freddie couldn't keep up with. Both are great in each way, but we will never see another Freddie Mercury again, so let's appreciate the fact that we still have Marc Martel to keep his memory and music alive.

rparello you have Go keep in Mind That he sang 10 years before this Song came out,also during the Performance That he sang this Song ,he already was sick,at least at some Moments Marc Sounds a little „aggresive „ Not That Good,so i would say even after 10 years and hundred of concerts,freddie still nailed it more,but yes Marc is also a Great singer

One of the main reasons Freddie was unable to sing like this live was A) his health - he smoked and drank all of the time which would have a negative impact on his range B) shows - when on tour Freddie would be singing very very regularly and his voice would fatigue, even Marc’s voice breaks when he has been on tour and he tries to reach the higher notes. We’re all human aha

@@Lunatikk I disagree. In-ears monitors came out more frequently early 2000s. I also agree that Marc's technique is more developed but we can't disown what technology have helped artists to improve performances.

Who wants to live forever? Sounds like Freddie not going quietly and he intends to live for much longer yet. Some say that passed famous people live through others sounds like this is the case here , maybe Freddie hadn't finished his time on earth so he needs to finish through Marc ,this guy's voice is awesome sends shivers down your spine

So many bands have searched for a sound-alike singer to continue on their work and still be able to do earlier stuff. It's understandable, but impossible. While you can appreciate new singer's contribution, the little differences can take the listener out of the moment. This doesn't happen with Marc. When I listen to him sing, there is no difference other than note for note, he can perform each song as recorded live on stage. I never cease to be amazed.

10/10 YES EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. Adam can sing his ass off yes, but he's doing it to prove something, the clout, and the money. I listen to Queen for Freddie, Freddie is Queen. Marc sings with Freddie's love, heart, and soul. Marc brings me closer to Queen than Adam.

They can say whatever they want. If Marc sounds like Classic Queen more than the current NuQueen, then it's Queen. Freddie is still the Immortal King, obviously. But those people that blame Marc for being a "copycat" and "imitator" are totally missing the point. Marc is being as faithful to the original album sound as possible precisely to honor Mr. Mercury's memory. He's not trying to prove to anyone that he's "different" and "modern".

2.04 the chilling high note were he mimics freddie's range is unbelievable.. He sings with such passion and true knowledge of Queens music and respect it is raw talent in marc martel.. Not to mention how emotional and powerful the song is made by the orchestra and talents behind him on stage is excellent. Adam Lambert has a great voice but I think Brian and Roger should tour with Mr Martel before they retire as that would be the closest you would get to Queen Live today.. Minus John Deacon. This performance of probably one of the hardest songs to sing for anyone other than Freddie himself is very impressive.

Yes, they used audio from the album in the music video. However, Freddie did actually sang Who Wants To Live Forever live during Magic tour, unlike "Princes of the Universe", which was never performed live.
