Everything has a purpose and a place. I see so much disrespect here it ruins the martial arts. FFS the Machado’s are training under Dan Inosanto in weapons because to many grapplers are getting carved up. I respect everyone, no matter what they study. Now I do agree with JKD in tat simplicity of combat is a must. I feel drills and application should be equal. All drills should be applied to the ground as well. Not everyone teaches how to square up and then draw the blade. I say learn to grapple yes, it is important and learn weapons and drill; it’s important. The secret is, find an instructor that your drawn too and can connect with. Then keep an open mind. I’m sure people will say something, I’m trying to be in the middle and support everyone here.

i did once soft one on one with a profrsional foreign soldier he drew blood ifrst but he was impressed with my arts and it wqs just pure instinc maybe the filipino in me as i defend and did ofensive move kali is in our blood...
