After viewing over 50 different reactions ,they all had some common traits or comments: Wow, amazing ,insane, shaking of heads, big smiles, rolling of eyes, mouth dropped open, hands to mouth, "wasn't expecting that", suprise, and more. I live in California and I am proud that Marcelito grew up in my home province in the Philippines. I’ve watched him in KZfaq many times and I never get tired of watching him. I’m very happy for his success. He’s one of the very talented Filipinos who got out from poverty to stardom. I wish him well to his new challenge in AGT!!

Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song, he has no classical training, rather taught himself how to sing from an early age. He learned this song by listening to a recording by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. His performance, considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it, is gorgeous. His native language is Philipino Tagalog, and he has no formal training. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but he does not speak those languages. Possibility even more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7. On September 21, 2014, Pomoy married Joan Paraiso of Calauag, Quezon, and they have one daughter, Marcella Janiah. He is very humble, helping out his neighbors with odd jobs and repairs, even though his reported net worth is around $5,000,000 USD. His ambition serves him well in whatever he does! me too, I never get tired of it for two days now and I already knew the song but I notice how he sometimes sings with full power and then the next moment, all tenderness... First off, let me react to you. Good gracious! Honestly, you are amazingly beautiful and I was just literally watching you the whole time while listening to Marcelito. Wow! Just wow! And yup, Marcelito is genuinely talented I can't fathom how he does what he does. And do note, he is just sitting while singing one of the hardest songs that has 2 tones and 2 languages.

Gamitin nyo ang proud to be pinoy kung national pride achievement lang, for example, kung naging most powerful country na ang pinas o naging pinakamayaman na bansa. Hindi yung may magaling tumambling na pinoy, proud na kayo agad. Anong kinalaman ng galing ni pomoy sa kanta o galing ni Pacquiao sa boxing sa national pride? Di nyo ba makita na nagsisilayas na ang mga pinoy palabas ng bansa para lang mabuhay? Ano ang proud dyan? Ang pagtuunan nyo ng pansin yung mga nakakahiya sa pinas cause I promise you mas gaganahan kayo baguhin ang pinas. Halimbawa, isa sa most corrupt country in the world ang pinas. Yan muna ang isipin natin dahil unless makaalis tayo dyan, walang pakialam ang ibang bansa sa singing power natin. Hindi nun kayang takukin ang China sa pangaagaw sa teritoryo natin. Ginagamit nilang vehicle ang mga talents natin para makipaghambugan sa mga banyaga--kesyo mas magaling si ganito kaysa kay Mariah, kesyo pinakamagaling kumanta ang mga Pilipino sa lahat ng bansa, blah blah blah. Nakakakilabot na claims! We now look at the world as one international community. We are one planet. @@verdeazul333 lol..sad but true. Ang mga karamihan sa pinoy little minded, nagkakandarapa sa pagyayabang sa mga little tricks samantalaang dito sa west ang mga isyu na pinaguusapan dito ibang iba. I know this being a Canadian. Di pa ako nakarinig dito na nagsabi na proud to be Canadian dahil sa magaling na singer si Celine Dion. Take note we are talking about the one and only Celine Dion who is a Canadian. Alam ng mga Americans at Canadians kung kelan lang sasabihin na proud sila dahil sa bansa nila at hindi parang basura na kung saan saan lang tinatapon. Baka sabihin naman ng iba dito mayabang tayo dahil nasa ibang bansa. Sinasabi ko ito bilang isang pinoy na nakita ang both sides at narealize na nakatuon ang pansin natin sa mga maliliit at walang kwentang bagay na walang real impact sa ikakaunlad ng bansa. Magising tayong lahat at ihambing ang bansa natin sa ibang bansa. For sure we are doing something wrong that's why Philippines is still at the bottom. It's still a falsetto voice but he manages to give it texture so that it gives the impression that it's female range. In other words, his vocal chords produces enough vibration so that it doesn't sound like a falsetto. I used to sing but I or anybody I knew can do as Pomoy does with his voice. He truly is unique.

Macelito's "female" voice is NOT falsetto. If you want proof, listen to him sing "The Power of Love". A male singer can not do what Macelito does with that song by singing in falsetto.

But... his way to getting his voice is sad and tragic. His mother died after the birth of him and only his dad was left. He was in prison though and marcelito had to go stay for 2 years in prison until he was "adopted" by a police guard. At the age of 9, he realized that he and she were not his parents and ran away. He lived most of his life in th streets, selling food just to survive. He was lucky over time and he was able to get a house and have a kid and a wife. He was the winner of Phillipines Got Talent and has now reconciled with his father.
