Wow she's extraordinary! I'm having difficulty, however, deciding which vocal era of Aretha's I love most. I used to think the early to mid '70's was my favorite but now I'm not so sure. The late '80's had a soul stirring smokey rasp to it that was so rich and soothing. I love it!! I've all her different eras

I was first introduced to Aretha's music in 1962 when I purchased the vinyl album, "The Tender, The Swinging, The Moving." I was in the USAF at the time, and I played it for all my friends in the barracks so they could be introduced to this soulful singer. I special ordered her other albums on Columbia. She autographed an 8 Track tape of hers in 1968 at a military base in Coronado, CA. Someone broke into my car and stole it. I think I still have a letter she wrote me in 1972 after I sent her a birthday card. My kids grew up listening to Aretha, and we will all miss the Queen.

What's amazing is all the beautiful music that woman gave us thru her lifetime. God love you beautiful lady!
