Sailor Manyo Akebi is a favorite of mine it sheens a green and shades so well, the green sheen it has is so pretty... I don't use it enough... Love your choices of ink and great colors like a rainbow 🌈

I’ve only tried a Wearingeul ink with my Esterbrook Techo nib and it was super smooth and wet. I’m sure it would pair great with Pilot Iroshizuku inks, too 😊

I will also be looking to get a B SIG nib after using one. I have a bottle of Steeped Umber I was gifted over a year ago and have never put in a pen!

Steeped umber is a lot darker!! But I had the same experience, I put it in a fine twsbi and it was super light and desaturated, and then moved it to a medium nib and it was really wet and dark as it should be!

I answered under another video from you a few days ago that my „normal black z50“ Lamy nibs feel way smoother than the silver ones - and that I don’t need to buy another black z52 for the LX (which is more expensive) and can go with a normal Z50 😊

Take this with a grain of salt, because I've never used a music nib, but it is my understanding that its purpose was to make it so musicians could write on music sheets, which are typically on a piano stand (or similar) so they need to be able to handle that different angle. The paper is nearly vertical. I wonder if that's the issue you're running into really, maybe try to see if setting the notebook against something makes a difference?

I think your favorite will be the Scribo. I've purchased 3 hand turned pens-1 zodiac pen co and 2 Barrel and Nib and I really love them.

The Scribo and the Scarlet estie are my fave combos for sure. The Scarlet with the B Sig and Mars Attack is a perfect trifecta imo. Makes me even more glad I just got the Scarlet too!

I love music nibs. I think the best are Platinum. Music nibs typically like a higher angle, but sensitivity to this differs. Sailor is probably my second choice in music nibs, but I also like Pilot, Taccia (maee by Sailor, but steel) and Frankie-Christoph (very wide, more stub-ish than others). Some dry inks (like some Troublemaker, but this probably includes some Ferris Wheel Press) are disasters in my Estie Sea Glass .

I like music nibs. I prefer Platinum's to Sailor's nibs though. Sailor's music nib has 2 tines; what makes a music nib unique is that they usually have 3 tines. On the other hand you need a higher angle and a slightly tilted hold on your pen while writing. Music nibs were made for composers. So imagine yourself sitting with an instrument and composing a tune. You will have your music journal in front of you on a stand and the book itself is gonna face you. So imagine writing your music notes on the paper sitting on a stand almost upright and you can better understand the angle you need to write with your pen. I have given up on FWP inks long ago. They run very dry for me and I'm not a fan of that. Your Estie techo might be suffering for that reason. I love the techo nib; it's a version of the Naginata togi nib by Sailor. İf you play with the angle you write with these, you'll get a thinner line when higher and a broader line when lower. So they are a bit different then the architect nib. Although I'll have to say that the estie techo grind has a little less variation then my other nibs of that variety. But it is so smooth and writes beautifully. Maybe try a different ink in it. You might like it for your headers like you use your architect for

Are your Sig nibs ordered from Franklin Cristoph? I really want to try an Sig nib and I do have an Estie. I also have Opis 88 and Benu Talisman, which have the removeable # 6 units.

I did really like Lamy until I got the Lamy studio and the cap won't stay on it
