Let's check in with my reading journal, I read one book last week that captured me for a while. I still have names and places swirling in my head. I'm sharing my new fountain pen and washi tapes: I really need to stop all the buying. So I'm setting some lofty goals and hope it all goes well. No journaling is happening but I'm still talking about the weekly journal and how much fun I have working in it. And lastly, I'm sharing the progress on #31inks31pens31letters.

I'm finding that using rules for how I do projects is great but, like you now, will bypass a rule if need be when it doesn't fit in with what I want to do. When I tell myself it's okay to not follow the rules I have to laugh cause I am the one making up the dang rules in the 1st place. It's like I have to give my own self permission 😆 I do love the idea of your project #31ink31pens31letters. And, btw, thank you for the flower sticker! Such a bright addition to my sample book cover.

I was surprised to see you didn't like Tress and the Emerald Sea so I went back to rewatch last week's episode and it makes sense to me now. That books is strongly inspired by The Princess Bride with its mouthy narrator. Also, the narrator is someone Sanderson fans already know and like from other books. So while I did really enjoy Tress, I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't already deep in the Sanderson universe (even though technically you don't NEED anything from other books).

That would make a lot of sense. And I'm not really a fantasy reader. Before this book I had never heard of Brandon Sanderson.

I love the way you have a title for your main journaling topics. I love the look of it also. I AM SO following your rule on shitty inks. OMG. I sit there struggling like you were and thinking it's me, but you're right. I just need to pass it on. LOVE IT. I am interested in the techo nib if you decide to sell it! ;)

How does the Lamy gold nib compare to the 3776?

The Lamy gold nib is much softer than the 3776. I'm not sure what else you'd want to know. It has a much wetter flow and of course, the Lamy is a western nib and much broader.
