14:10 I think most people call the action to sac and deal damage "fling" for the card Fling.

Indeed, it is known as flinging, any type of sac a creature to do direct damage to a target. Kazuul's Fury the MDFC does the same. ( as do many other cards and abilities )

I thought the question was referring to things like Mayhem Devil, but yeah, sac'ing a creature to damage equal to its power is definitely called Fling

The one that confuses me is the green rabid bite effect. Everyone seems to have different names for this when 'bite' and 'fight' work so well together

@@erenjaegerbomb8653 bite deals the damage equal to power, the other creature doesn't get to fight back. Fight is they deal power to each other.

45:53 a misplay there. You could have played Progenitor Exarch as a 1/1. Next turn, if they geruda, as long as they don't hit any flier and you top deck another Aerial Boost you would 1 shot them. In any case better than running into the known counter

I think running into the counter is actually the right play, but the scoop was still really bad. Playing Prankster after the counter and hitting with phoenix leaves them at 16, which means if they don't hit something relevant off Gyruda we've got 3+2+2 + 6 from Aerial Boosts + 4 from Invasion, which kills them without us even needing to draw anything specific.

Actually Voxy took it very well, just checked her vlog right after watching this. She had a lot of new subscribers that day and was in the middle of interacting with some of the new subs when you pulled off the combo.

We played two-headed giant sealed yesterday. We had a black/red deck that flung a Hoarding Broodlord while having City on Fire & Judith w/ Voldaren for 30 damage LOL

Why so aggressive with Heelcap vs Thespian starting @01:04:59? Could have played def with first strike and waited for the moment to attack instead of losing a lot of life in a bad racing situation, no?

At 1:10:00, why didnt LSV block and cast Aerial Boost with Convoke on Zada to blow the enemy’s board out? He says “If I could cast it on defense…”, implying that he couldn’t. But as far as I see that was both legal and a good idea. Am I missing something?

Convoke needs a white creature to pay for the white mana

@31:30 LSV says "5/5 first strike, vigilance... so, no attacks here" How is that no attacks? Looks like a free attack to me, only the opposing 3/4 also has first strike.

I realy think the battle cards are well desingned but the sideways panorama is so incovenient. Please use the frame applied to arena so we can actually read the card without telling our opponent we have one of those.

@@langa77777 Overloading things with mechanics doesn't equal "complexity". Take Quake3Arena, as one of the first competitive Shooters there was: It had like 6 different weapons, Armor, health, 3-4 Powerups and 3 relevant, yet extremely simple modes, but oh boy was it complex. In fact it had a much deeper gameplay than its contemporary "rivals" UT or CS - which were much more bloated mechanically

Shivan branch-burner is too clunky not in a convoke deck.

How is this not a convoke deck? How is any creature based deck (i.e pretty much all limited decks) not automatically a "convoke deck"? I realise it's not dedicated to token generation, but you play 2 creatures in the first 4 turns and you have a 4/4 flying haste for 5 at uncommon. This deck has a low curve with plenty of 2 drops too.
