Welcome to our Mid-century styled home! Thanks for watching our Part 1 video featuring pretty vintage green glass and pottery, plus adorable ceramic figurines displayed in our front entrance and stairways for March. More tours are coming soon!
We've always enjoyed thrifting and antiquing for vintage and MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen items, and fabulous accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. Our home is constantly changing as we find more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI. We look forward to reading your comments. We are very GRATEFUL for your kind support!

Hey there sweet Peggy, I'm green either envy, such beautiful glassware. I was reading up on the origin of crackle glass, it's amazing how long it's been around, since the 1600s in Venice!! Wowser!! Thanks for looking it up and sharing it for all of us. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing some of our green vintage things. It helps to feel that spring is here soon. Although we are getting a very cold and windy week that started two days ago. Winter is back for a spell. We hope you are doing well way over there! (I'm sorry to have not been in touch lately. I've had a long spell since February experiencing pretty rough anxiety bouts. I could barely breathe at times. I can't explain it, but it seems to be happening less this past weekend. I really have had a difficult time starting a video here. I guess I've lost a lot of confidence. Hopefully, I'll keep getting better.) Hi from Norm and we wish you well. Hugs!

I was so excited to see your video! I have to tell you a quick story. I needed an elephant as part of a display for a Thailand themed party we are having for my niece who is going on a religious mission there. I found a ceramic piece at the thrift store for a dollar but it wasn't painted well at all. Then the idea popped into my head to be like Norm and to spray paint. It now looks fabulous, black and shiny and perfect for my black and gold color scheme. Thank you for being an inspiration! ❤❤❤

Lover of frogs. I collect all frogs, glass, wood, plastic, ceramic. Salt and peppers. Dinnerware, phones, jewelry. Even have a real frog in a tank. I have probably a thousand

☘️💚🍀I really enjoyed looking a your videos. I too have been collecting green glass, pottery, St. Patty day things, and spring items. This relatively new for me although I’ve been a collector for a long time. My husband and I use to love roaming the Antique stores of yester years before all the thrift/ gift stores we see today. In fact some thrift stores think they are gift stores with their elevated prices. Sometimes more than Antique stores. I wish the best for Norm and his up coming surgery. Bless both of you for sharing all your pretties. I wish I knew more about how to share on U Tube, then I too would share my decorating ideas. Do post on Face book in certain groups that interest me.

Peggy Lou u were talking about frogs 🐸 I luv them too I have a funny looking frog clock i hang outside on a shutter i took it off the shutter yesterday and in the part where u put a battery was a tree frog lying in it perfect size i couldn't believe what I was seeing lol I grabbed my camera and took a bunch of pics 😂 luv ure videos. Just curious, did you always decorate for every holiday and season before having a channel? You have so many great collections that I doubt you were able to collect just since having this channel. Loving that huge cat critter in your shadow box…too cute! Those frogs with pink hearts are so adorable. I feel like that old gray mare looks.😅 Eight more days to surgery day…hang on, Norm (Prayers for you).

Hi Diane! Thanks so much for watching another video and always sending your sweet messages. It's very fun to read your thoughts and likes. I feel like that old mare too! Yes, I have always loved to decorate for all the seasons and holidays. I made a lot of holiday items for us and family and friends. I was always into crafting and painting. Maybe you recall some of our earlier videos sharing that we made a lot of wood pictures and sold them for years. It was a lot of fun, but got to be tiring eventually. Our later jobs were too stressful to do artwork for a small business. Norm and I were always thrifting since our marriage in 1969 because my parents influenced me. I'm glad that Norm became very interested in it too. So, it seems we've always been interested in buying vintage instead of new. I have so many vintage things that we purchased many years ago, but I've donated many, many things that I lost interest in after a while, like many of us do. We moved into this home, our 2nd, in 1987 and I started liking MCM in the early 90's. I also started selling our vintage items back around 1994. eBay was great off and on over the years. I quit selling in 2020 when COVID happened because I thought people would not be spending money there when so many were losing their jobs. I still have not gone back to selling yet. It's too much work on top of trying to make a video every week. To be honest, I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety bouts with difficulty breathing, just anticipating making a video here. I've had it all year so far. I hope it subsides soon. I don't have any problem filming in a thrift store or antique mall though. Hard to figure out. Just age related maybe. Sorry to elaborate. You always take time to send such nice messages and we appreciate you! ;-) Norm thanks you very much for your message and prayers. Hope you have a blessed week ahead, Diane.

@@Crazy4Retro Thanks for sharing! I hate that you are having anxiety about filming in your home. You have such a lovely, interesting home and I do strain my eyes looking for just one, just one dust bunny but have failed every video. I would think it has to be so tiring for you to film every thing and the strain might be contributing to your breathing difficulty and thus anxiety. Saying prayers for you. I so want you to be able to enjoy every aspect of the greatness you provide!
