About how long is the distance from each end when completed?

I found 90" was nowhere near long enough. I had to remove two rows of square knots just so the cord would tie one knot around the bottom pole. Otherwise though was a nice pattern

Im using 4mm cotton cord and i couldn't fit 12 pieces on my rod so I'm trying with 10 pieces, i made another one with a different type of cord that was 4mm and 12 fit just fine.

I'm trying to follow how much string you need for this. It's a total of 90 feet of string? (12 pieces at 90 inches each?)
