This week we are in Alaska and showing you guys some of our new camping gear as we travel/camp around our home state! The Marchway Ultralight Camping Cot is the newest addition to our camp setup! At only 5lb, this FULL sized cot is surprisingly well made, packable, easy to set up and take down. We purchased 2 of these cots which we plan on using a sleeping pad over each along with a packable/portable pillow keeping our camp gear light and minimal!
We also get away from the city for a night out in Willow Alaska, renting a tiny/dry Airbnb cabin in the middle of the woods! We unbox this cot, show you guys some new gear and give you a tour of our little home away from home.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel !
I do videos every week on anything outdoors - truck camping, hiking, fishing, gear reviews, trail runs, etc!

Thanks for the review....I cannot sleep on the ground so maybe a cot is the answer! Great video.

Cot is definitely our go to for tent camping! Especially this one since it’s so light packable and comfortable. We used to have an air mattress for tent camping but it was a pain, needing an air source, it’s heavy and bigger to pack. Glad the video was helpful! Cheers 🤙🏽

Now this is VERY interesting...... I was trying to get some ideas for camping cots, so seeing this video is superb timing, indeed. I have always been gun-shy about cots because of their tendency to tear and stretch a bit too easily for my tastes, and also having to lug the extra weight around, which gives way to some people not wanting to pack one along on trips. This one, however, seems to be quite different. I suppose that we will have to wait and see how it holds up and for how long; a huge buying factor, in my book. But for now, this looks like a real winner, and it is very reasonably priced. Since my knees are shot, I can hike only so far, which makes this cot quite ideal to suit my needs. Good job, here!

Hey Mike! Glad you found the video when you needed it! Definitely good timing lol Very true about the extra weight traditional cots have, this one is definitely a game changer to those older style cots especially at this price point. If your knees are shot though, this cot was a bit harder to get out of since it is so low to the ground 6" so definitely something to consider with this types of cot! Thanks for watching!

In tent camping I use the lounge (3 section) size outdoor cushions. I just ordered the cot. My cushion will go on top.

I had the cot similar to lawn chair. It took up too much space in my car trunk when traveling. The tilt was nice. But I wanted something small package wize.

I love it. The only problem I have is that I wish I could slide the poles through all the way, without it coming out each leg hole. I've used it for 10 nights. I've never had any problem with stretching or sagging.

Nice! Can be easily brought using a motorcycle. Just wondering if it has a matching tent that can be placed on top of it.

@@joshuapeters2764 The backpacking tent I have is from Amazon it was like $70 or something its a 2 person tent and it packs ok... its a bit big for "backpacking". What I have heard that are good are the REI ones (these can be a bit pricier though around $200+ but I did a quick search and this one looks pretty decent to backpack with www.rei.com/product/204332/the-north-face-stormbreak-2-tent

On a bike. I would get a small 2 man tent. The cot and bedding and small chair, clothing etc. Will be enough. Get a hiking stove and stanley pan set. Good to go. 6-8 packer cooler.

Hi! Thanks for the video. I am looking to buy a cot and wanted to hear your experience with this cot. How is the cot holding? Is the base or the cloth sagging like you were concerned about? Any issues that you found through your use? Thank you!

Hey P G! We've used these cots a few times now when were in AK (we were just there last week) and they've been holding up great. No issues with sagging with the cloth or anything that I could tell. They were very comfy with our sleeping pad and sleeping bag.

I haven't gone camping since the early 90's still have most of my old gear from back when I was in the scouts. The cots we used then folded up but they were squared bulky a pain to lug in and out, you essentially had to drive in unload then drive out. Now I'm older and my brother inlaw is looking to get my nephew who's old enough now into out door activities. I'm curious if it's not too bad toting that around in a 20-25-ish L-back pack for backpacking. I'm not so sprig and spry as I once was and I don't really want to be using a full 80L rucksack.

Hi Defe! This cot may be a big too bulky for a 20 L Pack, I think I'd at least have 50 L for this to fit along with a tent and other essentials for camp
