+Genius Loci Loreena is certainly influenced by Middle Eastern melodies and blends them with her knowledge of Celtic music... makes for an interesting fusion. Along with her powerful voice, it has worked. The sound of Marco Polo is reminiscent of Sufi Arabic melodies that are rather easy to duplicate once you know the percussion scales. A beautiful musical genre..Al di Meola has a song with World Sinfonia album 'Heart of the Immigrants'' called 'Heru Matar' by a Turkish artist that is absolutely breathtaking.
