Tourist Gets Caught up in Jakarta Protest 🇮🇩
In this installment of Marco rooms we hit the streets of Jakarta Indonesia to find ourself amongst a protest. Now I'll be honest, I have no idea what this protest was about but I did speak to a couple of the people and gauged that it is something to do with Farmers not being paid probably or compensated, and also potentially being forced off their lands?
Nonetheless I was happy to hear their stories as I like to stay neutral with these things and learn different perspectives from all kinds of people we then jumped in a TukTuk with a driver named Almon (who you will see in the next episode) A very interesting guy, a genuine family man and a hard worker who has been driving the TukTuk for over 30 years!!
He drops me at Fatahillah Square which was built by the Dutch in the 1600's era. It looked just like a European town square. We met some universities students and some school kids there where I ended up doing two separate interviews funnily enough.
I then jumped on a bike and did a couple of laps about the Town Square enjoy
