I don't normally comment on videos. I have to thank you for the videos you made and are making. Your free movement of goods really helped me in exam today. I totally aced it purely because of you. I was thinking to message you about doing video of judicial review, illegality and other public law topics as i have exam coming up. I hope you have time to cover public law soon. So i can ace the exam again. Once again i really appreciate you time and effort. You're awesome.

I am currently in application for permission for J.R. I am meeting certain resistance based on locus. From NEW guidance on J.R. i found this relating to the 'public interest' standing question that defeats the objections to my case I believe: [REGINA V INLAND REVENUE COMMISSIONERS, EX PARTE THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF SELF-EMPLOYED AND SMALL BUSINESSES LTD: HL 9 APR 1981] Lord Diplock justified the modern approach to judicial review: “It would, in my view, be a grave lacuna in our system of public law if a pressure group, like the federation, or even a single public-spirited taxpayer, were prevented by outdated technical rules of locus standi from bringing the matter to the attention of the court to vindicate the rule of law and get the unlawful conduct stopped…”

Have to be careful though, if I remember Scarman warns about stopping busybodies in that same case! Often dependent on the issue at stake, broader ones like environment, aid etc. are more likely to succeed. World Development Movement is another case to look at from 1995.

Such a great lecture! Is there any chance you can give a tutorial on structuring exam essay questions? Or just generally how to structure answers, sometimes I fulfill all the relevant information for an essay but the way I approach it pushes me back a few marks.
