In this Marcy Inspired Bonus Video, we visit Colorful Colorado. We get to see wildlife up close and personal at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, and due to a "Happy Mistake" we take a drive to Red Rocks State Park just outside Denver where we, literally, drive through the red rock. Then we continue on to Colorado Springs where we visit Garden of the gods. The sandstone rock formations are spectacular! Hope you enjoy the scenery as much as we did.

Turns out she's quite the historian, so we want to do a segment on some of the older foods and share how and when they were introduced to the region. She and her husband are both retired educators. I could have sat and talked to them all day.

That's gonna be awesome, can't wait! I was thinking one day, how neat it would be if someone made a restaurant of Native American food, from local foods they ate/eat like acorns and different game. I've never seen anything like that, yet. :) @@marcyinspired1442

What an incredible concert venue! How cool that you live there. The amphitheater was closed off when we got there because they were doing a sound check, and it turned out we knew who was playing. It was Brandon Lake & Phil Wickham, and I love their music. So we thought, if we got back in time, we would go to the concert. We ended up staying late in Colorado Springs, so I'm putting that on my list for next time.

We love that place, an oasis in a bustling city. I used to take Bonsai classes from Harold at the Denver Botanical Gardens..You hit some great spots, next time you fly in you should see Estes Park, be mindful of the time you want to visit and you'll be able to park and sometimes a huge male Elk will walk right by your window bugling! Take care!

Roxborough park is beautiful also if you’re in Denver again if you’re husband does any golfing they have a beautiful golf course. That is very beautiful to see, Don’t miss that. I always see a lot of deer there!!! I have seen bears, eagles etc. Of course early morning and evening a better chance of seeing wildlife. Enjoyed your video’s going to make the beef enchiladas with your red chile 🌶️ !!! Holding that rock must have worn you out, funny!! There’s a video with bears that were soaking black bear with cubs and brown bears loved soaking in the mud in roxborough park.

Our son is stationed out in Colorado and when we went to visit he took us to a restaurant that I fell in love with it’s called Cuba Cuba in Denver. And to the Royal Gorge Bridge where we got on the Gondola, it’s breathtaking! Also we also went up and hiked Pikes Peak the views are so beautiful from the top! We also enjoyed the Garden of The Gods! So many beautiful attractions in Colorado you need a week to enjoy! AlsoI loved the botanical garden I could stay out there all day! Glad y’all enjoyed the trip and also thanks for sharing!

I absolutely LOVED Garden of the gods. I went to Cave of the Winds when I was a little girl. (The same trip I mentioned in the video.) In fact, we have a photo of it somewhere. You know how they take those group photos and sell them to you at the end? I can't remember the building, though. That was the only vacation we ever took when I was growing up, which is probably why I enjoy being out in nature so much more than taking in the city. Colorado is absolutely amazing.

This place looks gorgeous. Now that all 4 of my kids are all grown me and my honey have now gotten use to our road trips alone. This place looks like a relaxing, fun time. Crazy that you got the days wrong for your flight! What a awesome surprise!😄

Tony is so used to flying home from work on Mondays, so we never gave it a second thought. It wasn't until we tried checking in for our flight that we knew something wasn't right. 🤦‍♀That's awesome that you and your hubby go on road trips. I remember you commenting about going camping (I believe in San Luis Obispo), and it sounded amazing. That is definitely a perk of having your kids grow up. But I sure miss having a little one, too.
