But you can be, it's all yours for the taking. A lady I once knew said that she had been a shy one. But the sorority she joined required that at every party she walk up to several strangers and initiate, at minimum, a fifteen minute conversation. She mastered this skill, for her ever lasting pleasure, and I might add for the pleasure of many others. There will be embarrassments of course but embarrassments are the cure for a boring life as well as some great laughs. Wishing you fair winds and following seas.

This film reminds me of Chariots of Fire. Same theme; an athlete in college pursuing his dreams and winning Olympic gold. I wish there was a home coming in this film like Chariots of Fire. It would've been a perfect ending to see Joe put his gold medal around Joyce's neck. And then before the credits, say that they did get married in real life. Rantz earned a chemical engineering degree from the university and worked for Boeing for 35 years following his retirement from rowing, contributing to the invention of a dust-free workspace known as a "safe room". Interestingly enough Boeing is located in Seattle.

This story and Chariots of Fire, both painfully boring films lacking is substance in its characters. Ugh. So typically American.

Last love letter from your lover. SO good has Mr. Turner in the movie too. The Guernsey Literary e Potato Peel Pie Society is another one. Love at first sight, is a little different but I liked it.

Sports during the depression? “Seabiscuit”, “Race” is about Jesse Owens who competed in the same Olympics but it takes place at OSU. Jason Sedekis plays his coach and he’s nothing like Ted Lasso but the movie has the same vibe as “Boys in the Boat”.
