While I know there are definitely some dramatic mares that just act up to act up, but some mares are just very particular about how things are done to/around her and you gotta get to know her before she settles down. I've worked with a few where they seem totally batshit crazy, but once you work with them enough and know some of their history, their behavior makes sense and you can work with them and they won't act up.

Colts and Geldings can be mean, stubborn, or even stupid. If you want truly evil or insane, you need a Filly or a Mare. Had one that could cowkick both sides and was flexible enough to get you way up front. Eventually we came to an understanding, but heaven help anyone else that got near her.

Pov: you have only mares "Hah this is normal"

Gelding: Pin Ears means something is very wrong and he's angry. Most common when the mares are all in heat. Horse mare: Pins ears for everything, just ignore it unless you are riding as she usually wants scratches. Pinned ears when riding is BAD, means you gonna die. If you can read her, she WILL tell you what she wants, again usually scratches. Bot flies are her enemy. Like I KNOW she won't kick me under almost all circumstances, but she loses it with bot flies, you can just see it in her eyes. There's nothing but kill in there. Horse flies? Not a problem usually. Bot flies come buy and you NEED to watch where you are and what she is doing. Pony mare one: More likely to nip for food than anything else, pins ears but also talks to you constantly in little nickers. Though has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Likes belly button rubs. Pony mare two: Sweetest little honey baby. Loves doing stuff, loves doing nothing, loves learning, loves pets, loves cookies, HATES THE HORSE MARE, loves grass, loves all hoomans. Had a recent hormone streak that may or may not end in a foal. She may have just thought she was pregnant.

This is why ive only owned geldings and stallions :D I had ONE mare, I did enjoy our time but DANNNNGGGGGG, the moods :D and i had a shitty PEOPLE aggressive gelding that was safer :D
