Unfortunately. Gray hair ages you twenty years. Find a training beauty school and have it done for Pennie’s. I’m 63 and people think I’m ten to twenty years younger… but I don’t have gray hair.. just like to be blonde!!!

One thing I would suggest, especially for those of us who prepare most of our own meals: I like to play classical music softly while cooking and eating. It sets the mood and makes the meal feel fancy even if it’s just omelettes and smoothies 🤗

Great video! I quit going to the hairdresser five years ago. I cut my hair myself. I save money and never get disappointed 😀 I quit wearing heels. I feel so comfortable 👍 I quit worrying for the future. I really enjoy the presence of ”now”. I quit buying clothes made of polyester. I love my cotton, linnen and silk. My body can breath and they last so much longer. ❤️

I personally make a list of things I need and/or want before I get the money to purchase it. I've been doing that for years and it trained me to just buy what's on my list and when it's not on the list I don't even think about it. It definitely makes life simpler 😊

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZfaq channel 2 months ago about self development. Now I have 196 subs and almost 82 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.

I am 58 years old, and I just learned many of these things embracing minimalism 6 years ago. I was raised in a different time, and time changes things. Technology has replaced many items we had to buy for use, but so many people walk around as mental hoarders because of information overload. Something I too have to keep ‘in check’. You have done well. Had I embraced simplification of my life many years ago, I can hardly imagine what my life might look like today. Be Simple, Live Simple ❤

For me, part of intentional living isn’t just letting things go but adding things like gardening that might not be simple but bring me joy. I’m just careful to not add too much - when there’s too much “noise” and superficial stuff, It dilutes the things that bring the most love, joy and value. Great video and would absolutely LOVE an example of a simplified/minimal iPhone! Thank you for valuable, authentic content!❤️

Here's a tip from mom of 5. They're grown now. But I took all toys in the playroom and divided them in half and stored 1/2 away. When they started getting bored with what was out (usually 2-3 months), I'd swap the 1/2 out with the stored toys. It was like a mini Christmas when they'd unpack the toys. Kept them entertained and less mess that they (yes'they') had to pick when they were done playing. Now that I'm an empty nester I still make my life better by taking care of things right away.. I tell myself that my future self will appreciate it.😂 Like some of your tips. Less to clean is more life to live.

I really appreciate this list! Some of the points that stand out for me are walking slower (personally, I like to take pics of little things along the way, that really helps with slowing down), not stressing about other people's opinion about us, not stressing about healthy food too much/ allowing ourselves treats as well... I think I have to go through the video again, there are so many good suggestions! I like that you are truly choosing for yourself what matters to you and don't let others/ social media trends etc. dictate your goals or pace of life. Great example for us all! ❤

This video was quite resonating. Lately I had this realization that I have more stuff than I require and use, especially clothes and footwear (thank god I’m not into makeup and accessories). In order to refrain myself from not buying more than required, this thought came into my mind that I will not buy anything if I’m not gonna use it multiple times, and I have limited time and money and will not spend on materials which are going to make me miserable when I’ll see them in my wardrobe. Surprisingly, I have also stopped wasting food when I realized that I can take second helping if required. Planning groceries is so important and my mum needs to understand this because usually either she buys something that’s not needed or forgets to buy what’s needed. I have told her multiple times but no use. Also, keeping things back in the place helps a lot. You don’t need to take out special time to keep the space clean if everything’s at their own assigned place, saves a lot of time. Overconsumption of information is really stressing sometimes, and I’m cutting down my KZfaq because of this (and I don’t use any other platforms of social media, good for me!). Thank you for making this video❤

These words are so incredibly kind and uplifting. Thanks for saying that. So happy to share my purpose, but please know...it's not meant to be a "holier than thou" response. I'm broken, I fail every single day but my purpose is what helps me reprioritize, get back up and refocus on the big picture. My purpose: to serve the Lord and glorify Him with my life - the way I treat others, love my husband, care for myself, work, fail, forgive, care for my home, etc. I came to this after simplifying and writing in my gratitude journal for several months(that may not be your route, but it definitely was mine). I started to realize that all I have and all that I am has nothing to do with me. It's all been given to me by the Lord. And every time I went through seasons of anger, feeling lost, and discontent, it was because I was focusing on being my own hero....life was all about me and how I could save myself (buying happiness, depending on others' perception of me, overworking to prove myself, etc). So it became pretty clear where I needed to shift. Again, I fail daily but every time I repeat "Serve the Lord and worship Him with _____(responding to my children, cleaning a messy home, being patient, completing mundane tasks, etc), it feels as if things immediately fall back into place.

I m definitely growing weary of information overload and peoples opinions on social media and KZfaq. Also, growing weary from bad and sad news and keeping up with all the birthdays and holidays online...just think your real life friends are probably not that many..like people you talk to on a consistent basis or see but on Facebook we may have 600 people or some 1000! And we end up knowing so much about people that we may know as aquitances that if social media didn't exsist..we wouldn't know anything about them. I just find myself feeling bogged down even when its time to pray..so many people to pray for. Thank you margaret for being a voice of reason and inspiration

I'm struggling bad with comparing and overwhelming though and making sure I don't buy every item you guys have to cook and clean etc all right now. Only got needs at target today. Another tip for less stress with kids Know your stuff will get messed up and broken, buy furniture that is more sturdy than beautiful. We got giving an ugly but sturdy farm table we striped it and let the kids splatter paint it and hand print it with neon colors over a black painted top then we put a gloss finishing coat on it and it looks amazing and unique. And couches and chairs we get used we always throw blankets over them easier to clean and hide stains.

I saw your video about wearing dresses for 30 days & I was intrigued to see what else you have provided!! I watched 4 more videos & I figured why I'm intrigued in your content.... you speak the same "simple life language" as Natalie Bennett ❤ Now I'm subscribed of course ❤❤ welcome to my feed 😂🎉❤❤

I hope your financial situation gets better soon. It is very difficult to be young and starting out in this economy. Thrift stores are a good place to get the things you need or may want. God bless you, your family and home.

A few I have quit 💓 social media 💓 using artificial light (90% of the time I use natural sunlight or just get around in a just darker space if it’s cloudy out) 💓 sunscreen (I use it for prolonged sun outings but I try to get 30 mins of direct sun a day and wear protective clothing otherwise) 💓 information overload 💓 a stacked daily to do list 💓 plain water - I almost always add in either fresh lemon juice and sea salt, or just a little sea salt, or like a splash of 100% cranberry juice with sea salt, I want to give my body minerals!

I feel like a lot of these came to me when I got to my 30s and had multiple children. You realize that you only have so much energy reserve and it needs protecting.
