My favorite south Florida hangouts are gone. The Bahia Cabana and the Mai Kai. The Mai Kai might be coming back I hear though. Fingers crossed 🤞

Beautiful resort. Loved the surf thing, always been to chicken to do the real thing but would definitely try this. Great vlog and really enjoyed your outtakes. Since I’ve never been to Florida, this is super useful for me planning an eventual visit. Thanks brutha!

Awesome video bro!!! Nice haircut too "big papi gringo" as they say in miami! Hollywood rules. That amphitheatre is famous. In the movies "Bart Got a Room" and more recently "The Beach Bum" with McCaughney! Have you ever tried conch? It tastes like calamari. Is that a mets hat you are wearing?

Haha thanks Chris! I have to check those movies out haven't seen them yet. I have had conch and it's delicious, especially where it's freshest down in the Florida Keys. They make a ceviche out of it but tbh I like it best deep fried in what they call fritters, with a little lemon and some hot sauce. Man you're getting me hungry again Chris. Better than the fancy overpriced spots with no great quality and quantity in south florida is "The Bamboo Shack" north miami on state road 7 (google map it) bahamian neighborhood they know what they are doing. U can drive though or sit if u want. I remember those miracle mets of '86 and the nice 2000 subway world series. I liked the mets braves battles alot back in the day. Or when they made the world series a few years back 2015 i think....they just got some bad injuries etc not sure. Singapore group biggest casino group in the world have there casino near Shea i hear its amazing. They have been trying to build on the old miami herald building site for years. Bart got a room is the great William H Macy early 2000s. The beach bum is McCaughney snoop dog jimmy buffet a year ago...south florida and keys movie...www.blfix.to. a hot new site just search and play and new or old movie tv show all amazon prime and netflix stuff....keep up the good work bro

Hollywood was the first place I lived when I first got down here. I actually hated it at the time (though mostly because my work hours meant I didn't go out much) but looking back, I kinda miss it. Especially only $950 rent for a 1 bedroom. You're definitely right about it being the perfect place in between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

yaaa this place was nice the day i visited hollywood beach...i ate at jimmy buffets food was awesome! btw the lady at around 23.30 when you leave the resort she seems to be shaking her head in disagreement with your mask down lol

I noticed that. I do need to be more aware of my surroundings. It is easy to forget. The problem I'm faced with is the mask will sometimes muffle the audio but that will just have to be something I deal with because the mask is a must. I am usually pretty good about keeping the mask on when I am in close proximity to people and try to keep a safe distance. I was nowhere near them AND we were outside. Some people also don't like to be filmed so not sure if they were unhappy they were in my shot. Point well taken though, I will be much more conscious. Thanks Dan!

Watching your video, trying to make a decision to stay at Margaritaville, or stay at a cheaper place and visit the resort for a day. Definitely expensive in the spring.

Not an easy decision Judi. There are plenty of smaller boutique style places you could get a good deal on right on the broadwalk. Definitely look into it.

I was able to access the pool area because I had lunch there but didn't swim. Great spot though lots to do right there without ever leaving.

Sure Kelly, head up north to Lake Worth, there's a casino right on the sand with a walkway facing the ocean. Check to make sure it's open first because last time I was there it wasn't open yet. For a man who’s sings about the environment, Buffett ruins it by putting up these giant buildings on the beach. He’s got another one in Bradenton. Did quite a bit of destruction putting it in.

Well that's a good point you make Danielle. I researched it and Buffet is the founder of Margaritaville. The hotels are owned by Margaritaville Holdings and Coral Hospitality. 😎

@@BarefootVlogger I grew up in Miami. When I was in high school Buffett was in his hay day. Buffett was very well known in the keys for being a guy who would wander in and out of bars playing for his drinks. We used to say the song Margaritaville was the story of his life. I never really was a fan.
