Hi DrBeeSpeaks, thanks for your note. For me, the Margaritaville Island reserve has more of a Caribbean atmosphere than a Mexican theme. Of course, Cancun and the resort are on the Caribbean! Hi Nicole, thanks for your note. I enjoyed my stay at Margaritaville. It has more of a Caribbean feel and vibe than Mexican. Food service is good. The resort is somewhat isolated and by itself, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it and what you are planning during your stay. Let me know how your vacation goes.

Great video! We just drove home from Mt Rushmore where it was cold and snowy all weekend. This makes me want to go warm for the next trip!

Hi Marty, thanks for your note. I like the Karisma hotel and resort brand. As to a favorite, it depends a lot on what you are looking for. If you like big resorts, I'd go to the El Dorado Royale. If you prefer a smaller, more intimate experience, try the El Dorado Maroma (great beach) and the Margaritaville, which is chill and laid back. I've stayed at all three and enjoy them all for different reasons. Gracias por su carta!

@@GetawayGuru Thanks for the reply sir :). We've been going to EDR Casitas for 12 years. At the beginning it was fairly quiet resort, but last couple years noticed more and more a younger party crowd and this past March it was HORRIBLE as for the demographic of age category, mostly 25-30 year old in members section . We were 6 couples and were disgusted at a point they had to hire private security to calm them down. Maroma is nice but only been there once. Cheers :)
