I'm sure there are a lot of other people who could have played Beloved Character Actress Margo Martindale, but only Esteemed Character Actress Margo Martindale could have given the character so much life and power. Really the character actress we needed.

For those of you who have never seen Justified, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!! The show is absolutely incredible. I love every single season but my personal favourite has always been season 2. The Bennett family were such compelling characters that I could not get enough of them or the show. And of course, the true master of the Bennett family was Mags Bennett, played to utter perfection by Margo Martindale, who stole every scene she was in. Mags was both a caring mother and a ruthless crime boss, with Martindale bringing authenticity and pure dread to the already complex character, along with a strong loving and kind nature to hide her cold and devilish interior personality.

I actually watched “The Americans” and “Justified” before “Bojack Horseman” so it was cool seeing her legit acting chops then the 180 to someone so exaggerated and obnoxious played by themselves as themselves and done so well.
