For a long time I’ve heard that Mariah songs helped people through rough times, I guess I never took that seriously until it happened next to me, my sister is going through a tough time in her life, she’s feeling depressed and anxious, she started at this new job months ago and she’s having a hard time there, feeling inexperienced, left out and bullied, she’s having anxiety attacks and she cries a lot. One day she was really down and I started singing this song in a humorous way, playing with her, it was the weirdest thing, she teared up, the words matched EXACTLY with what she was going through and what she needed to hear, almost as if Mariah knew. I know that’s impossible and it might sound silly, but I think that shows Mariah’s talent as a songwriter and her ability to connect with people.
