I blame the companies more than the influencers. Since Coachella is such a big event, companies go crazy and use influencers to push their products cause a lot of eyes will be on them. Companies just use Coachella for a cash grap now.

Especially, when considering how many of the people who live in the Coachella Valley are farmers and impoverished. To see millions spent and also made in profits, but yet people continuously say that the festival has been ruined by the influencer culture is sad to see.

This isn’t isolated to Coachella. I hadn’t been out in a while and when I finally did, most people are too busy trying to give their social media audience FOMO. “Look! we are having fun!” It’s pretentious and boring! I hope people are more real to themselves more often than they’re not.

I went Coachella a few years back and honestly UK festivals are 10x better. It was just a fashion show. it was a 3 hour wait to get out of the festival, you missed half the acts because it was too hot to go out until the evening, crowd surges, nobody knew half the artists so there was 0 energy and you weren't even allowed to drink without being in a designated zone with a wristband. Other than being a photo op it was dead.

@@naritaprim267 Depends on what type of music you're into but Glastonbury is the biggest festival and is mixed genre but tickets are hard to get, Reading/Leeds Fest, Wireless is good if you're into R&B and Hip Hop, All Points East is good depending on the line-up and Parklife. Parklife and Wireless tend to have young crowds but I've still enjoyed myself.

ill be so real, going Coahcella is a whole other ballgame unless u know people with artists pass's or the major tik Tok influencers, there no point going as a creator because its so like borderline classist lmao all the influencers who love it are the people who have connections to like top 1% artists or creators, every other creator hates it

Going to coachella and being mad it’s superficial is why y’all need to do research and don’t just do American things. 😂😂 coachella is in a very wealthy area of the states, there’s a reason it’s considered a flex going, it’s why you went. If you want real concert vibes go to Black festivals like made in America, something in the water, Ovo fest, lyrical lemonade, dream ville, lovers and friend, so many!

Coachella county is a very poor area of the US. Majority of its residents are migrant workers or undocumented people who work in ver harsh conditions with very little pay. Going to Coachella is very expensive and property owners will skyrocket prices during festival season however the actual people of Coachella valley do not see that money

I get your perspective and I also understand why coachella would want influencers marketing for the brand at the rate they do in this day and age. It’s a real catch 22. Also we have to remember that while things have changed so drastically in the recent past, fundamentally we are all humans, so yes she is allowed to be an influencer and get annoyed at people doing to much influencing. I get it. Good skit and keep up the work!

Thanks for your review of Coachella… Also asking questions is us Americans way of being “polite”. For example if you go to Disney or even some airports/hotels workers or security sometimes even everyday people will say things like : “Oh welcome to California, I hear an accent where are you from? What are you excited to see here ? We have this restaurant you should give it a try while you’re here.” Etc etc .

Coachella was only good when BEYONCÉ PERFORMED. Coachella is the only festival that most regular people don’t go see it’s influencer paradise because people only go to take pics. The prices of those tickets are half of some peoples rent money and the people who play there are unrecognizable even to the masses here in the USA. It’s better to go to smaller more better festivals here like afropunk or something because the music is good the people look good the food is 🤤and there’s barely any of the shenanigans like Coachella.
